When you realize that you have wanted to be an AOTT(or whatever you are) at the school you advise and become just as proud to be an AOTT advisor as you were to be an AOTT collegiate.

You know you love your GLO when......

~ you're even excited to go to chapter meetings every week
~you're the only person you know, besides your sisters, that doesn't find owls to be slightly scary
~you buy every owl you see..which isn't often
~you pass a car with your glo's letters and you hurry to catch up just to wave!!
~you carry on thirty minute conversations with much older women in the middle of the mall and hear about their college days in the same glo that you're a part of!
~when you're elated that you've left college with bridesmaids instead of a husband
~ and my number one: you know you love your glo when you don't have them anymore and you find it impossible to get through the days without them...i'm neutral right now for recruitment and i have never realized just how amazing my sisters are and how much i depend on them. I am counting down the days until I get to reveal and run up to them on bid day.....this is by far the most difficult thing i've done in college:(

could this be any truer for me?!?!? i wore letters daily for my last summer class. on the last day, the guy that sat next to me said "are you going to wear your letters everyday for fall semester? you are a great walking billboard!"

Wearing your letters almost everyday of the year (for me, It's mainly a hat.)

When you go to every national convention, everybody,Including the Board of Directors, knows your first name.:D

***You do more work for your organization at your place of work than what you're REALLY getting paid for! *****

*** Your brothers/sisters are the reason you stick it out at college...they are your true inspiration****

***The most memorable moments in your life involve your org. more than they do your REAL siblings***

***No matter how long you've been in your org. you still won't let someone where your letters....and you get upset like a neo if they try!***

...you take pictures of every quatrefoil you can find. Whethere it be in a church, or the fountains at Trafalgar's Square in London.

....you let a kid off of 550 dollars in traffic tickets cause hes a pike too....

Just thought of another one:
Your friends dare you not to wear your letters for a week, and you have to lie and make up fake "sorority traditions" as an excuse to wear letters during the aforementioned week. ;)

***You get so excited to see something in the store that is your sorority colors that you buy it even though you can't do anything with it... (Peach is hard to find :( )

you move into a new apartment and can't wait to get right to work decorating your room in a way that clearly shows what GLO you're in (violets and lions everywhere... everyone else just thinks it's really purple, but my sisters understand!) :)

--you get daily emails from ebay about Gamma Phi Beta items being auctioned!

--you speed up or slow down to be able to wave to a car with a Gamma Phi Beta decal on it!

--you always wear something with GFB
on it -- a lavalier or a bracelet or a watch or a pin or a tee shirt!

--you make it a point to know everything there is to know about Gamma Phi Beta's most famous alums!

--you never met a GFB volunteer job you didn't like!

--CutiePie2000 will appreciate this one: you quickly size up every unaffiliated woman (which you find out by asking if they were in a sorority in college) you meet for GFB
PNAM / AI potential!



and last but not least....

--you corner the Int'l President at a Leadership conference and then later email the GFB Alum VP to besure and let them know a future convention needs to come to
Hot-Lanta and that you really really really want to be in charge, even though the next available year is 2010!!!:rolleyes:

Okay, this is my vote for #1 love;) :D And I know she can do it!;) :D Only seeing a portion of what it took to put the Atl. AGD convention on, I know this is truly lots of work.

When you sing your GLO's songs to your sons AND the dog (who is also male!) when they can't be members!

When you can't wait for recruitment and volunteer to help (even when you don't have a legacy in the wings!).

*You come home from vacation to find that your parents have planted a diamond shaped garden in your yard!

*You have a cache of violet-themed goodies from ebay for various "mini-awards".

*You automatically pick up a few extra tea towels, dish rags, and paring knives just prior to volunteering for Recruitment.

*Your International Office is on speed dial :cool:

*Your door knocker is (what else?) a lion's head.

*You should own stock in Anne Klein jewelry.

*Even if your GLO colors don't particularly flatter you, you have found a way to make them work!

*You own a pin-hole infested black dress for every season!

*You have at least one box marked "ritual" in your basement or crawl space that, if someone else picks it up, you command them to "Put that down NOW!!!"

*Your GDI mate, who went to a school which didn't have GLOs (poor thing!), still doesn't get it, but understands that it's important to YOU!

*You've laughed & blushed over at least half of the many posts!
