In Miami if you don't speak spanish but ARE spanish then people automatically start talking to you in spanish expecting you to know....in which i polietly respond that i do not speak spanish...and then i get the whole...OMG you dont speak spanish this is Miami you need to speak spanish....then they ask where i am from, and when i say Puerto Rican they say...."ohhhh those Puerto Rican's don't teach thier kids anything useful"

*Just because I changed my major to elementary education does NOT mean that I was looking for an "easier" major.

*Elementary Education is NOT as easy of a major as everyone thinks...a deeper look into the field will prove otherwise!

Right on to that. I'm all about being bi- or even tri-linguil (sp?) but if you'r eliving here, you should at least TRY to speak English. I hate buying a new stereo or something and having to spend 4 hours trying to find the english part of the instructions.

If I were living in Mexico, I'd make every attempt to learn the language, out of respect for their country and their culture, I am not a native, I am a guest. I don't understand why so many of these @$$holes out there can't do the same.

If I'm not mistaken, the reason they have multi-language thingy is to save money. So instead of packiging 5 different boxes, they just can put everything in one and send them wherever. Although I maybe mistaken cause thw voltage are differents. Nevermind, another mindless ramble due to too much seafood.

People use to think (and some people still do) that Jewish people had horns. The meaning behind it is that we're supposedly devils.

When my mom first came to college in the early 70's (University of Florida), a woman in her dorms came over to her. This woman had come to UF by way of the backhills of this one southern state that shall remain nameless. Supposedly, this woman had the intelligence of a door stop and got into UF only because her dad had lots of money. When my mother said that she was Jewish, the girl said in her loud voice, "YOU'RE JEWISH?!?!?!?! But where's your horns?!?!?!!?!" The girl truly thought that Jews have horns. :rolleyes:
