I checked out her blog (now at http://www.blurty.com/users/shealaghw) and she doesn't mention rush at all like she said she would...maybe she decided not to go through? I hope not, though!

EEK! I think there is such a thing as taking a rush thread addiction TOO far. Calling a PMN just to get a fix is definitely crossing the line! ;) :p

i know, speaking from experience, sometimes rush can be intimidating
especially when you're the minority in the crowd
because you think in your mind at all of these parties that they will choose someone of the same skin color as they are first
it's kind of a scary situation to walk into

Yes, Recruitment can be very intimidating when you're the minority in the group. This isn't acknowledged enough here. Most of us say, "oh, you'll do fine!" when most people who post like this have no idea what it's like to be the minority going through rush. Sometimes it's not easy.

All said, I AM a big fan of COB. It's like shopping! :D
