I dated a Naval Aviator for a fair amount of time...

They do move extremely fast...

And if you need constant reinforcement, then the military man is not for you...

Personnel cannot tell you exactly what is going on, but they can tell you how they are doing via their tone on the email.

Some of them lie about what they are doing for whatever reason. Which can lead some women to think they have a girl at every port...

But the biggest thing about dating Navy, is that you do just that--you date the NAVY... The entire Navy...

Some of the troops have websites. You can check them out to give you an idea of what their group is suppose to do...

If your Navy-man--or Marine-man is psycho--as some do come back with emotional problems, you can notify the EX-O's office or the JAG office--but use that as a last resort because you will get rid of your guy that way--fast--it goes on their record permenently and the Military does not take kindly to that chit and can cause Court Marshalling (sp?) procedures to be enacted... And the way things are now, accidents can happen...

I had a girlfriend who did just that, actually! Well, maybe not the entire Navy; just the aviation community. We used to call her "Lynette" after the slutty chick in "An Officer and a Gentleman".

Eventually, she found some poor guy who married her.

My cousin had a friend who practically slept with everyone in the same quad at Schofield.

No one likes to be known as the "Barracks Whore".

Before Brady (remember him?) I told myself I'd never date a serviceman. Look what happened. Going through those months of his deployment was too much. I don't know how many times I PMed KR after I had a temporary happiness session at the mall. :D I don't think I could ever date or marry anyone in the service again. I say that now, but you never know what's going to happen. I might meet Lt. Hottie McHottie tomorrow.

I can't stand being around my cousin and her friends because they purposely look for military men at the clubs. I love my Caucasian men...but you know how hard it is to find one in Hawai`i that's NOT in the military?

I remember that; and that would make ME head to the mall in a show of solidarity. Sympathy shopping, as it were! :)

I wonder if Kate Spade is still making a profit since you broke up with Brady???
