my sister was initiated into Tri-Delta a few months ago and the more I learn about DDD the more i like it. I've always had tri-delt friends and I even preffed tri-delt but I've come to really respect and admire the entire organization. The colors are beautiful, their symbols (dolphin, moons) are awesome, their philanthropy is amazing (Children's Cancer - more specifically St. Judes) and I really respect their Life Loyal program. I've never met a Tri-delta I didn't like and I've never encountered a weak tri-delt chapter.
Chi Omega...these women are nothing but CLASS CLASS CLASS. I have absolutely fallen in love with the XO women on my campus and theyre so strong nationally. For the men - Phi Psi. Those guys are great. |
What was the question agin???

I have always loved Delta Gamma, Pi Phi, and Kappa's badges cause they are "thing" badges (much like my own beautiful Lyre:) ) I also like Delta Gamma because my two favorite colors are pink and blue. And finally I admire the men of Phi Kappa Tau because the ones I know are hard working and the most gentlemenly (if that's even a word, haha) of men I have ever encountered. Oh and a special second place in the fraternity category goes Phi Kappa Psi because their colors RAWK (red and green like Alpha Chi's!) and because my boyfriend is one, haha

Kappa Sigma -- The Bolognese heritage (whether viewed as a precurser to or an inspiration for Kappa Sigma) is cool, and the Star and Cresent is a great emblem/badge.
Beta Theta Pi -- This is a fraternity with a Lore like no other I know of; you can't get much better for mascot than a dragon or a guardian spirit's name than "Wooglin"; and you have to give it up for any guys willing to have "delicate shades of pink and blue" for their colors. (The way they connect those colors to the sky at sunrise and sunset, and therefore daily reminders of Beta, is cool, too.) Beta, Alpha Tau Omega, FIJI, Psi Upsilon, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Chi, and Pi Beta Phi -- for effective and proper application of the rules of heraldry (including in some cases, separate coats-of-arms for chapters). Lambda Chi Alpha -- the Cross and Crescent is one of the best, most distinctive, fraternity symbols around. Sigma Nu and Phi Mu -- Love, Honor and Truth are great ideals. I particularly like the short form of Sigma Nu's creed. Pi Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma and Alpha Xi Delta -- the arrow, key, trident, anchor and quill make great, distinctive badges/symbols. Alpha Chi Omega -- love their musical heritage. Alpha Delta Pi -- well, they were the first for women, even if others expanded before they did. And finally... Kappa Kappa Gamma -- for Ms. MysticCat! ;) edited to add: Thanks RedRoseSAI, AlphaFrog and KissASinfonian for the nice words about Phi Mu Alpha and Sinfonians! |
Every Kappa Delta that I have ever met was the most wonderfully well-rounded, out going and welcoming individual...always do great justice to their sorority!

I am from a Greek family, so I will always have a special place for Tri-Delta (Mom), KA (Dad), Zeta (Sister-In-Law and Niece), and Phi Tau (Grandfather).
Had I chosen an organization based on colors alone, that would have been Delta Gamma(lt pink and baby blue) Had I chosen an organization based on philanthropy alone, that would have been Kappa Delta(Prevention of Child Abuse) At my school. my favorites fraternities were Sigma Chi, SAE, Chi Phi, and AEPI. I also really admire AKA and Delta Sigma Theta. They focus more on recruiting quality rather than quantity, and they are proud to display their letters as an alum |
I love Pi Beta Phi's colors and symbols.
I also think every Delta Gamma I have ever met is the epitome of classiness. We aren't fortunate enough to have a chapter on my campus, but every DG I've ever met is fabulous. I like Phi Sigma Sigma's badge. The sphinx is a really fun symbol. And I love Sigma Kappa's colors because they are so unique (maroon and lavendar) and their motto ("One Heart, One Way). And of course I love every GLO for making GLOs everywhere what they are today so we can experience Greek Life. Thank you :) |
I love KKG's cause my mommy is one and I met so many wonderful members through her.
I love Alpha Phi cause they always seem to be sweethearts. I love Kappa Delta's colors. I wish we had them on campus. I love Sigma Nu's badge. And I wish we had them on campus cause at other schools they always seem to be close with DG. I love how people call Alpha Gamma Delta's "Alpha Gams." It makes me think they all must have hot legs;) And again I wish we had them on campus. I love Sigma Chi's cause they have a cutest dog on campus. I love Sig Eps cause my daddy is one. I love the AXiD's cause they are all beautiful. And most of all I love DG because they offered me a chance to be their sister. :D :D |
Sig Ep - I love the balanced man concept.
ATO & Sigma Nu - Classic Southern Fraternities Sigma Chi - My dads involvment. I also think of it as the essence of a fraternity. Classy and respectable. Phi Delts - Rock at almost every school the are at in Texas. Delta Sigs - A very active expansion policy. |
I think Theta Phi Alpha's motto is absolutely wonderful:
"Nothing Great is Ever Achieved Without Much Enduring" and I think it is neat that they were founded by a Catholic priest. I think it's neat that Sigma Kappa was founded in Maine! What a cool place to be founded! I also like their flower -- the violet. I like the Chi Omega because I have so many friends who are ChiO's. I also like the Thetas because my biological sister is one.:D I love AOPi's website -- I surf the web ALOT and theirs is probably the best one I have seen! I like the Phi Mu badge because it is so unique with its quatrefoil shape. I think Alpha Xi Deltas are FUN and they have a great sense of sisterhood! |
Let's see I'm jealous of KKG's national presence,
Theta and DDD's badges AGD's purpose SOOO beautiful and cool also AXO's symphany is really nice as well... and the AGD's at my school are great ( ;) Greek law girl should know) DG and Pi Phi's national websites have SOOO much information and truly show what being a well rounded sorority woman is about. Zeta's colors and Symbol... (what girl doesn't want to be associated with a crown ?) Humm.. let's see even though I haven't met any since KD isn't really represented here in CALI... I think KD's philanthropy is really great maybe we wouldn't need so many other philanthropy's if we helped children in danger |
I love Phi Mu's colors and the lion... it's so much easier to find cute lions than squirrels!
Friends from high school joined ZTA, KKG, Chi-O, DZ, and DG, and I know if those girls chose those groups then they must be wonderful because all those girls are great. I just found out that my friend's mom is a Pi Phi, which automatically makes me love them even more. A woman that my mom teaches with is a Zeta Phi Beta, which makes me love them as well. The meaning of AOT mystifies and intrigues me, so I love Kappa Delta as well. One of my best guy friends joined Sigma Chi, and I love him, so I love Sigma Chi too! All of the Kappa Sigs I've met have been fabulous. I love all GLOs though; aren't we all amazing in our own special way? |
*I like Phi Mu for having great advisors to work with at Georgia State University during recruitment because it makes it so much more fun!
*I like Sigma Kappa and Alpha Xi Delta for being some of my best friends in college and always being down to earth and awesome girls *I like Chi Omega because they also seem to be class acts always and my old roomate is one! *I like Delta Phi Epsilon for tackling eating disorders and for bringing it to the fore front of women's issues *I like Kappa Sigma because my daddy was one and he always told me that a Kappa Sig would take care of me, no matter what! I pretty much like all the groups but if I had to pick another mascot besides my beloved panda, it would be the Tri Delt dolphin because I love the ocean and its such a neat symbol!! GREAT THREAD!! |
I love Alpha Gamma Delta's colors! Red, Buff, and Green...they fit together so well!
I love ADPi's badge....it is absolutely gorgeous and is in the shape of a girl's best friend...the diamond. I love KKG because we share the same location for our executive offices. Plus anyone who has Ashley Judd on their famous members list has great reason to brag! The men of FIJI are so driven to do their best...their wonderful sense of leadership and spirit of service are inspiring. The TKEs always know how to have some fun~! I have never met an Alpha Xi Delta that I didn't like! They are all so sweet and kind. No one can have a great rivalry like ATO and Sigma Nu can! In general.....everyone on GC is wonderful! Many men and women on here have proven to be great representations of their chapters! |
I admire SFE for leading the way with the BMP.
I admire PKA for having, hands down, the most effective extension program of any fraternity. I admire KKG for having only 19 dormant chapters. This a truly remarkable accomplishment that shows outstanding chapter support. I admire KAQ for never losing a colony. This is just as outstanding as Kappa's accomplishment, but in a different way. I hold a special fondness for FGD, because they, along with FKY, make up the Jefferson Duo. I also have a fondness for TEF, because my dad was one at Tulane. |
