Ok, this is kind of funny...when I first read this thread, and everyone kept talking about the Cha-Cha Song, I was like, WTF?? I'd never heard of that before but was very curious since everyone seems to hate it...Anyhoo, it's my day off, and I was watching MTV True Life-the theme was I'm going to Prom, and while at prom, they played the Cha-Cha Song!! And all these guys were like sprinting to the dance floor and kncoking people down like " Dude, we gotta go dance, it's the Cha-Cha song!!"

But yes, from what I heard, I couldn't tell what all the fuss was about-it was somehwhat crappy.

Oh my god! Who said American Pie by Don McLean...that's just blasphemy!! That song is so fabulous. And whomever said anything by DMB, you crazy!

okay, i wasn't going to agree with people at first
but then i started hearing it on every single station at the same time
and it got aggravating as hell

Then you need to see (if you haven't) Standing in the Shadows of Motown. She sings her ass off on some of the old classics. It's not her I dislike...just that song. She definitely can do MUCH better and it's sad that's the song she's most associated with.

I second the votes for anything by Creed, Michael Bolton, No Doubt, Britney Spears, any boy band after 1980, Kid Rock, DMB, 50 cent, the macarena, the ketchup song, 'Beyonce and her backup singers', and Celine Dion.

I gotta add just about anything done by LL Cool J, Will Smith, P. Diddy and I know some of you may be tone deaf and love JLo, but THE GIRL CAN'T SING!!!!! Ahh, the wonders of extreme tweaking during music production....

As for "you spin me round" or whatever it's called, I happen to love that song. It's my guilty pleasure :(

One more thing: 'American Pie' just reminds me of the songs we used to sing in kindergarten before nap time, just the way it sounds. As long as I hear maybe once every 3 years I'm fine.
