I know people who have chipped their teeth from their tongue rings. I haven't. My dentist keeps asking me to take it out so I won't ship my teeth. The metal balls on the stud are more likely to cause damage so it's pest to have a plastic ball on the stud. That's what I wear. They also say that when you can take the original stud out put in a shorter one to protect your teeth. The use a fairly long one to pierce with because of the swelling.

New Rule for Piercers!
 
If you're getting it pierced, you should know how to spell it correctly. I've never heard of a tonge or niple getting pierced.

I wasn't talking about your post. There were some earlier posts that DID misspell those words, and the poster had the wisdom to correctly spell them. Boh.
