UDZETA, I'm sorry but your "proof" is full of holes. What about all the other Craigs? If he didn't want people to know his real last name, he didn't have to use any name at all, did he? He could've just said "I'm Craig" and that would be enough. Now he's saying he's someone else, using a different name than he did before -- how do you know he's telling the truth? "Oh, I was lying before but I'm telling the truth now" is not really compelling evidence in his favor. He could easily be playing you, girl, switching names when it serves his interest.

Anyway, like most everyone else, I don't care if he is a Pike because, Pike or not, he was beyond disrespectful, especially to women.

My question is for you, UDZETA: why go through all this effort and send all these emails for the benefit of a guy who has been nothing but rude and disrespectful, especially toward women, from the FIRST message he ever posted on greekchat (and yes, I read that first message)? If you are going to say that nothing you have seen him post has been *that* offensive, then I would say to you that you have missed numerous messages that he posted and then deleted -- many of which were very offensive. Why stick up for him? I don't believe that you're doing this just to fight the good fight and stick up for someone who is being horribly wronged by greekchat as a whole. I think there's more going on here.

Anyway, why don't you send his name to Pike headquarters, and see what they have to say about it?

It's something that I've noticed a LOT in this thread and it's been driving me nuts! And though I could probably get my head chewed off for this, I believe we, as Greek should know the difference [and I know there was a thread about this already]:

alumnus: singular, masculine
Joe Schmoe is an alumnus of XYZ Fraternity at ABC University.

alumni: plural; masculine, also used when describing a group of men and women
Joe and Bob are XYZ alumni.
Bob and Tina are alumni of XYZ university.

alumna: singular, feminine
Mary is a proud alumna of ABC Sorority.

alumnae: plural, feminine
Both mother and daughter are alumnae of ABC Sorority.

I am surprised that you of all people wouldn't be sympathetic to someone defending a principle.

UDZETA has stated ad nauseum that she doesn't support uf_pike's posts per se, but wanted to find out the truth.

Have you no sympathy for someone that wants to defend a process and give a shot at fairness?

Or does a person's other transgressions make that person deserve less than a fair chance?

Can we admit our prejudices now?

I really have to applaud the people that said that it doesn't matter to them whether he is a Pike or not . . that they just don't like the kid.

But some of the posts here are strange. The same people that were so ready to believe the first "research" are very quick to try and poke holes in UDZETA's work. Even though UDZETA used a much better methodology.

So will many of the rest of you now just admit that you don't like the kid? And that is the sole issue?

Then we can drop all this pretense of intellectual discussion that is filling threads and you can just snipe at him to your hearts content. :)

Honestly, I don't believe she is trying to find out the truth. If she is, she isn't doing a very good job of presenting it to us because, as I and others have mentioned, her "proof" is full of holes. All she has said is that UF Pike said his name was X, then he said his name was Y, and some guy who supposedly was the president of a Pike chapter is going to confirm that Y is or was a member. What does that prove? In my opinion, nothing. It doesn't prove that UF Pike is X or is Y or is anything.

I'm assuming that UDZETA is a college student. It may sound like I'm being harsh, but as someone who is a bit older and with more experience in life, I am actually trying to demonstrate to her that presenting "proof" that really isn't and then saying that (because of said "proof") anyone deserves an apology is not going to fly in the real world. If you're going to say that you have proven something, you better have the evidence to back it up, and I don't think she has presented any compelling evidence to back up her assertion.

I'm all for people defending principles, but if you're going to do it, do it right. That's all I'm saying. I'm also just wondering why UDZETA chose to devote so much time an energy to this particular "principle" as well. If she's going to start a whole thread about it, I think it's a fair question for me to ask.

I also still want to know if she sent his name to Pike headquarters, and what they had to say about it.

hahahah. Sorry. Just thought it needed to be said somewhere in all this drama.

I said I didn't like him long ago, but still UDZeta has seriously flawed research, seriously. I didn't read anything in those "emails" that stated that she was correct in her research. Besides, how do we know that she wasn't maniuplated by the subject in the first place? That came to my mind really quick while talking to mly cousin about this a LONG time ago. He pretty much thought he had an idea of who he was at first, but then thought that it was more than likely just someone pretending to be a pike. UDzeta claims to "prove uf pike is not a liar." I don't care really but it's funny because it doesn't seem like proof (I'll admit that neither does the "proof" provided by the other researchers.)
If we are using proof via email, let's do it like the courts do. Provide us with ip trace stamps from the origin of the email and proof that the email wasn't manipulated in any way, shape or form. Without this, nobody can really believe any of the "proof" surrounding this issue.

I am still eager to hear "Craig's" response though. If he is innocent, he should stick up for himself. He never seemed to care what people on here thought about him before, so why would he care what they think now? It didn't stop him from replying before....


I don't care if he is a pike or not, it doesn't matter, but I'm glad that he hasn't been around lately...

Now tell us James why you so strongly stand up for him? And don't say that you aren't because you are taking the hard stance against those that "just really don't like him."

Simple.

I think he's being ganged up on by people that don't like him much and want him to stop posting.

So they come up up with as you said, flimsy research to try and make the kid look bad.

The theme of the imposter thread was just strange.

However, people should be willing to stand up and argue for fairness and look at whats really going on, because the a lot of GC has been indifferent to uf_pike and are seeing this situation for the first time.

If I had never really payed attention to this whole thing, and my first exposure was that imposter thread, I would have a very bad opinion of uf_pike based on just a few posters.

There is an inherent unfairnes to that.

About him responding. What can he say at this point? We have already determined that the situation has prescious little to do with his Pike status.

So what can he, or should he say in the face of simple animosity?

Can you anwswer that question for me?

I think the ladies involved have a high probability of getting their way in this and the guy will stop posting.

But who will be next?

I've always found it easiest to say "alum" or "alums", but that's just me.

This is stupid, if someone doesnt like him (or anyone for that matter) ignore him!! I'm pretty new to this site.. but this is just outta hand. In my oppinoin this, is pointless. If someone gets kicks outta getting mulitple screen names and posting stupid stuff... let them be.. whatever! Ignore him and it won't bug ya!
