It was a good game, from what I saw of it. Congrats to the 2002 big ten champs, Ohio St.

That tiebreaker crap only comes into play when were talking about bowls - like who goes to the Rose bowl, since the big 10 sends its champ. Both teams have a conference record of 8-0 - so theyre co-champs :) |
Pshah.
REAL Conferences have Championship games(Big XII, SEC, etc) To reiterate what ktsnake said on the first page, Kyle Field is TRADITIONALLY one of the hardest places to play as a visiting team. That hasn't been the case this year, and it most likely cost RC his job. Rumor mill has Dennis Franchione coming back to Texas from Alabama. God, that would be sweet! Anywho, i'm rooting for OU here on out, what we really need is the Hokies to step up and salvage their season against Miami. Of course, A&M could help out OU somemore if we manage to beat Texas on Friday, i think it would help their strength of schedule. Of course, if i was Stoops and Co., i wouldn't hold my breath. Gig 'em and Boomer Sooner! Kitso KS 361 days from now A&M will be talking Big XII title, if Coach Fran is leadin the Ags. |

All i have to say is that OSU rocks! They pull out the plays when they need to and a win is a win is a win As for being co champs...who cares...we all know that Iowa lost and that is all that matters. It is just a techincality that they get to but put on the same platform as Tressels boys. We wont be seeing them at the Fiesta Bowl! Eat that!

Had a kick ass time in Columbus! Our room was packed! We had a suite. In the back room (bedroom) we had two beds and two air mattresses. In the living room area we had the pull out couch and three people sleeping on the floor. On Friday night we had a little party for our friends that were getting married and even more people showed up. The guys then took the groom-to-be to a strip club and the girls just hung out in the hotel bar.
Saturday we had to get 13 people ready with one shower. Boy that was kind of crazy. We told everyone that if they had to pee then they had to go down to the lobby. We had to call three cabs to take us down near campus. When we got down there we someone has gotten separated from one of the cabs. About forty five minutes later we managed to run into them. It was so wierd...I kept running into people that I knew from Michigan. We got to see a lot of semi-riots, people ragging on the Michigan fans, streakers, people puking and then proceeding to slam another beer. GOOD TIME :) |

It's too bad that the crowd got so out of hand on Saturday night in Columbus. Celebrating is great, but burning other people's cars and damaging property is something entirely different. The real tough part is that a lot of insurance policies don't cover civil disobedience, so those folks are screwed! (BTW, I've been in a few of those "victory" riots -- including one at Ohio State -- and they can get pretty dangerous.) I agree there should be a championship game, but under the current situation, you've got to consider Ohio State the real champion -- they get to go to the big show, and the Rose Bowl kind of pales by comparison. |
Deltalum, the rose bowl will be even worse in my opinion if Washington St gets in over USC and I heard they do hold the tiebreaker. That will mean 2nd best vs 2nd best. The whole rose bowl idea is getting out of date to me now that the bcs is in effect.
Just a wierd thought, any chance Marshall could join the Big 10 plus 1 in a few years? I heard they won't be in the mac forever and they would benefit from the recruitment aspect of being in the big ten. I know they are small but that would be an idea. |
