Not meaning to be rude or come off the wrong way, but I thought this thread was for Radical and Controversial opinions, not the God-spoken truth:( :confused:
Some black people even believe that the race is cursed. I don't, but I'm just saying...can we all agree to disagree? I'm sure my opinions are ridiculous to some but I feel comfortable enough to share them, especially in a thread such as this.

EVERYONE is entitled to state his or her "Radical and controversial" beliefs in this thread.

Lizanabavi, for the record, DIONYSUS IS BLACK!! She might not be as "afrocentrically" immersed as you, but she is BLACK. Thank you for the Black History lesson.

There are a couple of opinions expressed in this thread that I totally disagree with but I am not here to knock anyone's hustle on what beliefs they espouse.

This thread is a chance for folks to express themselves with the notion that no matter what, no one is going to jump down their throat or belittle them for the thoughts/ideas/beliefs that they express and embrace.

I believe that corporal punishment should be returned to the classroom because I have a few students I would love to HIT!! :mad: Yes high schoolers need a beat down before they need IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION!!

I believe that black people are cursed. We just can not get along.

as i learned from my archaeology courses in college, noses, arms ears and other unstructurally sound parts of statues fall off or are eroded naturally from the wind and time. in addition, the sand blowing around in the desert also helps to erode statues such as the sphynx. countless statues from even after the egyptian period are missing noses and limbs. the roman statues also are missing those important pieces.

I believe that many of the things Greek and Roman societies are given credit for originated in Egyptian society.

This is not radical, this is TRUE.

the truth can also be radical.

i want all this bilingual b.s. done away with. english is the official language of this country. before people are granted citizenship, they should be required to pass both english tests, reading, writing and speaking. you no pass, you go away.

*I believe that if most Black Americans spent more time seeking knowledge, education, and advancement, and less time complaining about what "The White Man" has done to us....we'd be a lot better off as a race
*I believe that MANY Black successful men that marry white women, do so because they are passive, and put up with -ISH that black women will not put up with
*I believe that if more women stood their ground and stopped dating drug dealers, (this includes being mesmerized by Escalade's, Navigators, etc) mama's boys, etc. - that these "men" out here would change their approach

*I believe that there is only ONE Sorority under the umbrella of the NPHC that has TRULY set the stage for all others to follow ......... and that is Delta Sigma Theta Innnnnncorporated!! :) :p :D ......I thought u knew!!

Speaking of sexuality. I believe that everyone is bi-sexual, what matters is what you act out on. In other words, no one is 100% homosexual, nor 100% heterosexual.

I also believe this new gay revolution is a fad.

I think that if black people were given reparations than we would miss use it and blow it off with a couple of months on worthless material items.

I believe that more than 10 percent of the population is gay.

I DO NOT believe that college prepared me for the real world. I did not pay for an education. I paid for a piece of paper to hang on my wall.

Contrary to popular belief, I believe that black people are very hard working, we learn fast and we are good teachers. Not only do black people work hard at putting down members of our own race when someone actually achieves a higher level in life but we also learned quick from white people back in day of how a black person is supposed to act by being lazy, ignorant, criminals, and sex addicts. Black people learned so fast that we teach it to their children by letting the tv raise our children and by doing and saying whatever in front of our children.

I believe that if everyone had a TRUE relationship with God and not use religon as a way to condemn others, the world would be a better place.

*I think that NO ONE should be on welfare for more than 5 years. I believe they should receive job training, but after that it should be cut. After the person has been in the workforce for a while, they should be REQUIRED to pay the $$ back. (like students) i.e. the only people who should receive a consistent monthly check from the government are the disabled and the elderly

*I believe that folx look at the people in the church, as if they are supposed to be perfect (i.e. scandals with pastors, the woman that clubs every night and sing in the choir) and when they are less than perfect, they use that to justify themselves not going to church or believing in God


*I believe that the Arab community in AMerica could do more to help combat the war on terrorism, and that they don't because some of them tacitly agree that Americans are all "evil-doers"

*I believe that if you are on welfare, and keep having children that you cannot support, your child-bearing (men and women) priviledges should be taken away.

*I think someone said this earlier....but Lifers in prison should have to serve on the front-line in war"

...that's all for now:D

my only radical view is that anyone (read: all adults over 21) should be able to beat anyone else's child (read: anyone under 21) ANYTIME, ANYPLACE.
