what is a badge buddy?
|
RedRoseSAI- I think I have an idea of what a "badge buddy" looks like after reading your post. My from the description given it sounds like what my mom uses for her Junior League pins.
On the subject of chapter guards: I think they add an extra beauty to some badges, but IMO the ones that have the pearls are too much. I think guards and dangles are a good idea for fraternity badges. It kinda makes the guy look like a military general when its all together. |

I was taught to put both name tags and pins on the left so that when you shake hands with your right hand, the other person can see your name. I would think that if your name tag was on the right, your arm would cover it up when you shake hands. |

Can anyone produce a picture of a badge buddy?

My badge holder was made for me by one of my sisters; it is cream-colored material with a small yellow rose beautifully stitched onto the bottom left corner. |
Hey WVAgirl:
I grew up in WVA (Morgantown, actually)! Sorry, just thought it was cool that someone else on here was from there cuz u don't see that often. My whole family went to WVU (except for me- although I considered it at one time). lol |
I don't think you should wear it. Your badge has nothing to do with going to an interview. What I think toy need is preparation.
Anyway good luck. You'll get it. |
I think all of the different rules/traditions with guards and dangles is really interesting.
When I was a collegiate I don't think anyone had a chapter guard, just their badge. (Why would they, we all knew what chapter we were in ;) ). But the exec board officers had officer guards (instead of dangles). Every spring at our officer installation the guards are passed down to the next person to take that office. I love that tradition, especially since my big got to pass the guard on to me, and I got to pass it on to my grand-lil'! |
