Yesterday morning we happened to come across the show "Hacks" on Max, starring Jean Smart (but the whole cast is great, really). We ended up watching all of Season 1 and half of Season 2. We've got 4 episodes left to go, and Season 3 will be out later this year. We are not football people, so that was our Super Bowl counter-programming. If you liked The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you'll probably like this.

Relentless on Discovery Plus is…idk. It’s somewhat interesting but overall kind of a waste of time. I’d suggest it for what NOT to watch lol…

I’m not even a football fan, but I’ve come across ESPN’s 30 for 30 series and they are just remarkably well done and interesting stories! The Pony Express one about SMU is good and the one about the Duke Lacrosse case (Fantastic Lies) was handled exceptionally well. It’s such a difficult topic to tackle, but the way it was presented really got me hooked on the reporting and writing of this show. Excellent journalism.

HOLY CRAP IT IS SO GOOD…Netflix American Conspiracy: The Octopus

“Worst Roommate Ever” on Netflix. This is very creepy, but really good. I just finished the first episode. I’ll start the second one tomorrow evening. It’s a true story coming from the actual person telling the story. It’s like she’s being interviewed and then she’s telling the viewer what happened.

Very Scary People is really good. For all the 90s women out there, it’s also hosted by Donnie Wahlberg :)

They cover a lot of older cases, but from different angles.

I decided to use Veep as my new treadmill show. So damn funny!

The Menendez brothers movie series on Netflix is sooooo good! Excellent acting, story, everything. I’m not finished yet but I’m very impressed, as I don’t usually enjoy scripted shows.

I know we have lots of 80s /90s people here…they use a lot of music from those days and it’s also really well integrated into the story.

Only thing I will say is it gets heavy at times with regard to discussing abuse. Which is necessary for the story but I thought I’d give a heads up.
