Bits are entertaining. Whatever this is, is not.

Dude. Go back and reread what I wrote about the sentence.

That's actually not what the sentence is saying. Look at it in context: the previous sentence is about the number of members of AKA. "With a total membership approaching 1 million” is a parenthetical. "All working informally in their communities" refers to "other members" at the beginning of the sentence, not the entire membership of the Divine Nine. The next paragraph is a quote from someone who is a member of another D9 group.

She is not making a claim about the entire membership of the Divine Nine, despite your choosing to read it that way.

Diagram the sentence, and you'll see Sister Havana is right.

Thanks, Havana. I do understand what you're saying and note that it is a paranthetical expression. However, the extraneous use of "all" (which isn't required if the sentence is constructed to be read in the way you've read it) has to somehow be explained.

It's possible she's just a sloppy writer when it comes to word choice but it's equally as possible her sloppiness manifests in selection of punctuation marks.

The WaPo has a recent history of using marginally qualified JV writers to report on stories way out of their depth, as they did here by assigning a baseball correspondent to report on the presidential election. They also have all but eliminated copyeditors.

In fact, just last week, they had a young lady who is an okay video games reporter covering the White House! In her story, she identified Jair Bolsanaro not as the President of Brazil, but as the "Mexico President" [sic]. This shocking error in very basic geography was not changed until I called Peter Wallsten to address his attention to it. Here's an archived capture I took of the "before" version of that article:

I'm a strong believer that facts matter and that science is real. That said, I appreciate not all may always share my perspective in that regard and that's okay.

Anyway, enough of punctuation, and back to our discussion of Kamala!

FactCheck at the Annenberg Public Policy Center has put up a pretty good page cataloging many of Harris' lies, misstatements, and omissions:

https://www.factcheck.org/2020/08/fa...kamala-harris/

Politifact also has a page dedicated to Kamala Harris' falsehoods I found interesting to read:

Absolutely. I didn't post Mike Pence's page here, though, because the title of this thread is "Kamala Harris" so it seemed a bit off-topic to discuss people not named Kamala Harris. But I digress.

I must have missed the discussion  Just you posting links to lies she's supposedly told.

You seem to have spend an inordinate amount of time trying to discredit a journalist in this thread. Is that not also "off topic"?? ;)

No, I didn't discredit her, I discredited her writing about Kamala Harris.

And I didn't try, I actually did. :)
