Heartbroken again...I didn't get an invite...

I know that there is a lot of people going through recruitment, but I thought after my interview that I had a really good chance. Oh well, no more hopes of Greek Life for me. I don't want to go through the humiliation again. I'm sorry for being so down, but this really sucks. But I am going to the movies tonight with my boyfriend and I'm just going to try and forget that today even happened. Thank you gals and guys so much for your continued support throughout all of this. I wish I could call you all my sisters...but whatever is meant to be will be, and I guess DZ is not meant to be a part of my life. :( Special thanks to Iowahawkeye for many PM's of encouragement...Thanks for everything...

I don't care if you're Greek or not - you've got the right attitude and that's all that matters in life! You didn't need to go Greek, the Greek system needed YOU! :p

...and if you are still interested, there's always rush another semester, or even alumnae initiation...GPhiBLtColonel can tell you about that, she's helped lots of other people with it! :D

some chapters are still COB'ing as well. I don't know if you're interested in that, but it is an option.

Ditto what Geekypenquin said. You sound like a great woman. I would love you to meet my daughter there! PM me about alum initiation, also, for later.

Im sorry to hear that you didn't get invited back for prefs. Sounds like you would be a great girl for colonization of DZ and for that matter, any Greek organization! DOn't get too down about it - I went through formal recruitment twice and even did some COB events in between. The second time I pledged though! Whatever you decide, keep the good spirits up as you sound like a wonderful girl. Again, Im sorry you didnt get invited back to help with the colonizatino.

I am so sorry UFrushee05!!! I feel sad and happy all at once. Prefs was beautiful. They had to do two ceremonies. Each has 100 girls and then they will call 150 of us later. I am sooooo excited, it gave me chills!!! Will update if I get a call!!

UF56, WHEN WILL THEY CALL YOU??? Oh, I'm sorry to yell, but I can't stand waiting. I want to hear news NOW and I want it to be happy news. I'm crossing my fingers for you!!!

My roomate also went to Prefs and they are supposed to get calls between 11 and 1am...she didn't get a call! I feel so bad! I hope UF56's night worked out a LOT better! I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you!!

So guess who's the newest DZ on Greek Chat? ME!!!! They just called...they are running late doing the calls. I was so upset when 1 am hit because I thought I didnt get one but they called YEA!!!! Bid day is tomorrow at ten. We are going to be having breakfast and what not.....I am sooooo excited!!! :)

UF56, may I be among the first on GC to congratulate you on becoming part of the DZ colony!!! I am SOO excited for you & have been anxiously following your entire rush saga, as have soo many other GCers I'm sure! I very much have admired both your honesty & tenacity throughout this entire process - your story is a great example for all that persistence does indeed pay off and also that things do happen for a reason! Cliches? maybe, but soo true nonetheless.

Once again, CONGRATULATIONS on your DZ bid ~ you will make an amazing founding sister! :)
