Here are a few off the top of my head: BOYS (I'm better @ these)
GIRLS
I'm not feeling real creative right now. I think it's really cool when people have names that have some type of meaning, whether it's a family name, there's a story about a literary character, etc. I don't particularly like different spellings of names, because that has to be annoying going through life correcting it all the time. My sister's first name is Alyson & I really like that spelling, but no one ever gets it right. |

GIRLS
-If anyone has those names, childred with those names, etc. please don't take it personally. They're just names that have certain connotations to me so I would avoid. I actually really like the name Joshua. |
My fiance would like to keep his latino backround in his kids names, and iwould like to keep my irish background, so our kinds are going to have really strange names!
girls: Isobel Ana Maile Hannah Caitherine (Cait) Taelor Alejandra (Aleje-- said like All- lay) Millie (even though i don't like millicent or mildred) boys: John Caleb (Cal) Rafael (Rafe-- said Ray-f) Hunter Devin (my grandmom's maiden name) oh, and i forgot, Daisy for a girl too...it''s the Puerto Rican nickname for Margaret (my real name, and a family name) |
For the girls I'd say
Maryam Sarah Laura Anna Eva For boys Isaac Samuel Abraham Adam Gabriel |
I grew up with someone named Tinkerbell as in Peter Pan.
|
How about "Halef" for a boy?
*that's my name, btw* |
I've always liked the name Iliana :)

LOL! I subbed in the local schools for about a year after BlazerCheer and Ballerina were born (ASLFRose was 2, even worse!) and all the subs decided that we would never name our kids Jason, Chad, or Shane for that reason! |
Yes this thread is old, but whatever.
My good friend is having a baby and we were talking about names, so it got me thinking about the ones I liked. My faves: Boys Collin Thomas Ryan Christopher Justin Michael Adrian Connor Girls Victoria Elyse Katelyn Michelle Cameron Taylor Taylor Grace Megan Nicole Morgan Michelle |
I have always loved the name Abigail Katherine! Abby for short!
|
I met this awesome couple last summer, and she was super pregnant. I don't remember what they were gonna name the kid, but it seemed so cool with their family. It was something mono-syllabic that you call a 50-yr old man, not a baby. Jack? Bob? No...it was cooler than that.
Ohohoh, I feel like everyone has an uncle with the same name as one of mine. Who else has an Uncle Bob, Tom, or Larry? Yeahhh! |
i was having a Shayla moment until i saw someone has my "name." phooey.
Im a fan of McKenzie. And Chase (my "big's" name). so much for originality huh? |
oh, i also like Mitchell, but for a girl's name. I was friends with a girl Mitchell freshman year and she was so awesome. I fear id set my child for a future of torment and an adulthood of sexual confusion.
