there is really no connection, per say. other then both are called bad people by Bush. the "AXis of Evil."

Most people are prob. cofused why there is arm build up in Iraq where they are cooperating with the inspector and denied having WMD, whereas N. Korea recently ejected the inspectors and admitted to having WMD and is in line to create more.

BTW, I've been to N. Korea, and it's the weirdest country ever. I was there with an english guy and he decided to roam around pyongyang on his rollerblade. Most people in the street look confused cause they have never seen a rollerblade. Plus when we visited a museum, we had to boy whenever we saw a picture of either the father or the son.

I'm confused with this too. I think N. Korea doesn't have anything to do with the situation in Iraq. (Although I could be wrong.. someone correct me if I am)

From what I understand, N. Korea signed an agreement w/ the U.S. (and maybe other countries??? :confused: ) in 1994. I think the agreement was basically they were going to not produce nuclear weapons in exchange for programs and things like that for their country which might have been funded chiefly by the U.S. They have announced that they wanted to back out of the agreement recently and that is what is scary. In October North Korea revealed to the United States that it has a secret and active nuclear weapons program begun years after it promised to never again to pursue such a course.

It is unknown whether North Korea has ever actually constructed a nuclear weapon.

I couldn't find a tie to Iraq, but I could be wrong. I think the N. Korea issue is about the breech of the agreement.

1. N. Korea is part of the axis of evil as Arya said.
2. N. Korea has decided once again to dishonor its treaty. Most people believe that they are using it as a bargaining chip to get more aid.
3. N. Korea is a rogue state shipping missile technology worldwide. Some of it is believed to be in Iraq. It has nothing to do with some joint N. Korean and Iraqi declaration but a profit motive even at the expense of global safety.
