Sorors,

If you've not yet made reservations for Boule, the Opryland is booked! My line sister got this surprise the other day when trying to make our reservations. She was told "Ma'am, it looks like you all are going to have a big crowd here!" But you can make reservations at the Sheraton Music City by calling (615) 885-2200, or toll free at (800) 325-3535, or by visiting the website.

You can probably still check out the Opryland though, just in case there have been cancellations.

Southwest has GREAT deals open for reservations.

Sorors-

I have had my reservation for months, ever since Leadership, so I really do feel for sorors looking to get a room now. But please be aware, HQ has designated an official overflow hotel. So don't give up! Make sure you are at Boule!

And to be honest, no one city can contain all the splendor and glory of the pink and green anyway ;). We would need our own little island or something...

Sorors,

I tried to make hotel reservations a little while ago. Needless to say, Opryland, and the Radisson are completely booked. However, Fairfied Inn at Opryland(Marriot) still has availability but not for long. There are about 15 rooms left. For those of us who are used to staying in 4-5 star hotels/resorts, Fairfield is pretty decent, you don't have as many ammenities as you would at the Radisson or the Opryland Resort. Since I don't plan to do much sleeping anyway, there won't be a problem.

So if you're still looking for accomodations that's walking distance to and from Opryland, give them a call at 1-800-468-4000,or go online to www.Marriot.com.

There is an Opryland Waiting List...

Try putting your name on the waiting list at the Opryland Hotel.

I'm sure that there will be some cancelations before Boule. It's worth a try.

Besides some of the designated hotels are 4 and 5 miles away from Opryland, and unless they provide shuttle busses I would not want to be that far away if I could help it.

Yeah, I had to book at Fairfield. Not happy about it,:( but that's a whole 'nother story.

for those who plan to attend the Boule in Nashville, by all means, do try to attend the Sunday Ecumenical service featuring DST Rev. Vashti Murphy McKenzie, the first Black female Bishop of the AME Church. she spoke at Allen Temple AME here in Cincinnati. she was fabulous, the AMEs picked a wonderful person for a Bishop.
just thought i'd share:D

Sorors keep me in the loop I am getting my ticket and sending my Regis. fee today! Post haste! I am VERY excited! And Soror Wen I will second your comments about Sistergreek Bishop Vashti.. I was blessed...oh so very blessed to learn from her every Sunday for almost 3 years when I attended Payne Memorial AME and I worked diligently on her behalf w/ the team that was in place to help rise her to the level of Bishop! She is annointed like no other preacher I had heard before or since! I love her with all my heart and still keep a picture I have w/ her in my living room! So yes SORORS don't miss your blessings she is ON POINT!

And Oh yeah... She's a TERP too..lol:)

One of the reasons that I can attend Boule is because I don't have the hotel cost to worry about (thank you Soror PearlEssence).

Co-sign on the Sistagreek Murphy McKenzie comments. She spoke at my baccalaureate service. She was indeed powerful.

Quick question

Any sorors doing the "Tour"?

I can't afford it this year, but maybe in 2008.

Soror, same here. Not doing the tour, but I really, really want to see Yolanda Adams! I'm still debating that. . .

I'm really excited about Boule, but I'm also really hyped about meeting my GC Sorors! I can't wait (but as my Grandma would say "but gal, you gon' have to!")!

Conskeeted7 03-03-2004 06:39 PM

I'm TOO excited about Boule. I've got my hotel reservations and my rental car reservation. So, I'm all set...oh yeah, registration will be paid next week...can't forget that one.

I have some cute outfits I can't wait to wear either!!

Prayerfull's comining to Boule

Yipeee.....

I've decided to come to the Boule. I made a reservation today at the Hotel Preston, which is 5 miles from Opryland and 2 miles from the airport. It's a brand new hotel - opened in Feb. '04 and the rooms look very nice, from what I see on their website, with some great upscale amenities.

Here's the website: http://www.hotelpreston.com

I reserved at a rate of $79.00 per night, which is their "Try Us" promo - I guess to encourage people to stay at their property. Heck, for $79.00, that's all the encouragement I need.

Mr. Prayerfull is coming with me - - -but NO KIDS - - double Yipeeee!

I'm looking forward to meeting all of my Sorors from GC.

Who's planning our shindig?
