JUST got back from taking the daughter to see Hilary Duff...my heart is broken b/c the Clay Aiken concert in Sept has been cancelled b/c the venue went out of business. Concerts I've been to? Too many to list (can't remember them all), but will try:
Night Ranger Survivor/REO Speedwagon Wham! (seriously, and I loved it) Howard Jones Thompson Twins David Bowie (twice) Paul Young Tears for Fears Depeche Mode Sting (twice) Harry Connick, Jr. Duran Duran (twice) Garth Brooks (3 times) Pam Tillis Diamond Rio Paul McCartney Bette Midler George Michael (twice - I want your sex & Listen w/o Prejudice) James Taylor (twice) Hilary Duff (now my concerts are determined by my kids!) There're more, but I can't think of them now. |
1st concert was a festival thing with hip-hop/pop music to which I remember Mase trying to incite a riot, saying 'fuck Mexicans' while doing a show in El Paso, TX, which is a city primarily composed of people who are Mexican-American. Yeah, he had to be escorted out by EPPD. At that same show, Destiny's Child, when 'no no no' came out. That was 97 I think.
Since then... Hoobastank, Taproot, Clockwise (local LV band that was signed to RCA breifly), 12/02 LV local music scene show (lots of LV local bands, including a favorite of mine Ill Figures), 3/03 Linkin Park, 6/03 Juanes, 7/03 Sugar Ray, Avion, 7/04 I'm a big fan of concerts but money and schedules just won't allow for more concert going. :( |
