Wow, you guys all went to small schools! lol...My graduating class had something like 770 people in it...3400+ students in the school. If that isn't crazy enough, get this--I don't know if it actually panned out this way but when I was a senior (graduated in 2001), it was projected that the next incoming freshman class at my high school would have about 1000 people. That is nuts! My town only has one high school for some reason, and it's not a regional high school either, it just has a lot of alumni and political stuff that make everyone really skittish about building another high school when they know they REALLY need one. A couple of years ago they did a huge renovation to make more room (about $80 million, at least) but it sure didn't do much good!

High School
I went to Brooklyn Tech High School in Brooklyn, NY. (www.bths.edu)
There were probably 1200 people in my graduating class, and I go to college with less kids than I went to high school with. Our mascot was the "engineer" I think. I kinda haven't seen a picture of our mascot in a while, but from what I remember it looked like the famous "Irish" mascot...except it was holding an engineering tool in its hand (a T-square). The thing is that our school also had majors, and a few of the majors just made their own mascots so we had this other mascot called the Tech-Knight who was a knight with a gear for a shield. I really envy you guys with your normal mascots...I can't believe we had an engineer for a mascot. We had a lot of distinguished alumni, but no huge celebrities...just ceo's (barnes & noble, some supermarket chain owner, and the founder of computer associates were the most famous) who donated 10 million to my school right when I graduated. There was one actress I remember now who graduated from our school. She was the curly haired chubby girl in the show "Living Single" starring queen latifa. - Rudey |
