it bears repeating: RUN AWAY from the credit cards!! Don't be fooled by the free stuff (Damn you, Citibank!!!)..go to class, and have fun..but don't get out of control.

Yes, must agree stay away from the cards! get ya one, and let that be it for real! Read the terms, some of those suckers have 23+ percentage rates, RIDICULOUS!
-don't let others 'sway' you from what you are there to do. If you don't feel like partying don't go! -watch the men(boys), they usually are so sweet those first few weeks, then...he will surely show his true arse! A lot of them are scheming on the freshman, and they(freshman) dont even know it, DO NOT become a victim of the fresh meat tournament. Use your guts about people, men and women. -go to the library often. -take advantage of any "free" stuff like comedians, on-campus movies, carnival. -don't take too many hours, if you must go to summer school instead. -Enjoy yourself and never settle for anything less, except ramen noodles! Good luck in G-boro a heckuva culture change for ya, but change is good, veryyyy good! |

I agree with the previous posters -- one credit card is enough. Use it for emergencies only. Anything that can eaten, drunk or worn is NOT an emergency! You probably know this already, but -- keep 'em closed. I started with a group of friends freshman year, and at the end of four years I was the only one who had graduated. What tripped up the others, you ask? Babies. I know getting pregnant isn't the worst thing that can happen to a woman today, but it's still cutting too dang many educations short.
