My husband is a Pike. We met when I was a Rush Hostess (read Lil Sis).

My husband (a GDI) actually did lavalier me. He gave me a heart-shaped pendant... a way of showing me he was sharing his heart with me. My sorority held a candle-lighting for me just as if he had given me a fraternity lavalier. :)

I never got lavaliered or pinned :( My husband said it was bad luck to lavalier (and it was - everyone we knew who was either broke up or is divorced now) a little part of me still wishes I had one though. He would have pinned me, but considering he lost his pin before I met him...

My boyfriend isnt Greek and i love him anyway ;)

My ex is a Tri-Delts. Greeks definetely a big plus in my case :cool:

My last boyfriend was Greek and my next boyfriend probably will be, too. I met my ex at the beginning of his pledgeship and broke up with him a day before his initiation...b/c he had been seeing another sorority girl (not my sister, thank god) behind my back. So for awhile I was all, "Frat boys suck," but I'm over it. I know the rest of the guys I date in college will probably be frat guys, too, b/c of the fact that my sisters and I basically always hang out with frat guys. Besides that, life is more laidback with a fellow Greek. They understand that you're spending the night with your sisters and frat guys (having a social) and won't get jealous, they think it's cool when you're out hanging with your sisters b/c they love their brothers as much as you love your sisters, they gladly attend your date functions, and they don't make too much fun of you when you're dressed up for a social. They understand that Greek stuff is important to you...like when you skip your fourth period to go participate in Derby Days...

my s/o isn't greek and actually, has a pretty negative opinion/attitude towards fraternities and sororities, in general. to keep the "peace", "greekdom" is rarely raised as a topic.
