I know I am late, but.....

this is my first day on the board. Can one of my Alpha Chapter sorors email me or PM me? I have a question for you. It involves someone that I believe is perping.

I had to bring this to the top.

You know sometimes you "smell" something foul in the GC air...ya know?

Why be a perp when you can WORK HARD and earn everything the LEGITIMATE way? That way you don't have to worry about being embarassed!

Concerned and Well earned

I have come across a couple of perps on black planet and they quickly get out of the chat room as soon as the question comes up. It's sad but in the same token funny. I look at it like this... it's a compliment that someone would go to great lengths to pretend to be what i am. These 20 pearls were well earned and continue to be earned. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. All you can do is just pray for them...

OMG:o I cant imagine perping this supreme organization. Its ridiculous preposterious and down right ludacris that anyone would disrepect an organization in which they claim to want to be a member.

signs of a perp they were made at some unknown school Mickey Mouse University, they pledged solo and moved after graduation (how convenient), if they are crazy they will challenge you with some wack mess, lol, to throw you off (go figure)

to catch a perp ask them regional info (they won't know)
invite them to a chapter meeting (they will always be busy)
have them over for an all soror get to gather (they won't show)

in real life its so easy to catch a perp, but on the net, well that's just srt8 drama.

perps do a disservice to themselves and really have emotional issues that i'm sure spill out into other areas of their life. even a child recognizes a fool.

On this note, right after I crossed, my sands and I attended a step show. Of course one of my more "special" sands was out and about introducing herself to everyone. For some reason she met a young lady and came and retrieved all of us to meet her. Of course as we got to know her we eventually got to the "what chapter are you from?" question (mind you, this girl was DRAPED in nalia). She said she was from our chapter. She looked young, but so were we, so we thought maybe she was a soror we never met from maybe the line RIGHT before ours who maybe lives out of town or what not), we asked what year she was made and she said Fall 91 (or something ridiculous). We didn't have a line that term. When we realized she was a perp, she started to cry. Needless to say, we had no mercy (we were on FIRE having just crossed and all). Long story short, we relieved her of her nalia and advised that she not try that stunt again. We also made her feel "lucky" that that's all that happened. More seasoned sorors may have hemmed her up. We were just happy to be able to press somebody as we had been the press-ees all day up until that point!

I don't know why folks perp. I would be scared to do that. With technology, it's esy to do it and get away with it...even on a TV show (106th and PArk) but face to face...it's really risky. It's really disrespectful and a lot of sorors take it as such and treat it as such!

Did someone try to perp on 106 and Park or was that just an example?

I am not a member, but I believe that she is referring to Free. When 106 & Park had the stepoff earlier this year Free was casually throwing up the DST hand sign. As far as I know she is not a member, but there has been some confusion over this. DELTABRAT, is this what you were referring to? Please correct me if I am wrong.

My perp experience...

I've never met a "Delta" perp on the net or otherwise and its hard to say how I would react...I did meet this clown who said he was a bruh...first off he saw me in my car and was like are you a Delta...ok I gave him the benefit of the doubt because maybe he thought I was driving someone elses car....(even though I drove the same car to work everyday...with a tag, an elephant hanging from the rearview mirror and a straw hat in the back window....OK I KNOW ITS A BIT MUCH BUT I'M A NEO :) ) then LATER we were casually talking and he said "yeah you know I'm a Que Dog" (his exact words....the bruhs I know don't call themselves "Que Dogs" and he never showed any Coleman Luv whatsoever...I don't think he even knew about the connection)....then he was like "yeah I need to go and buy me some more "Que Dog" stuff".....I asked him "oh yeah when/where were you born" THIS FOOL SAID " in 1970 in Georgia"...he was giving me his REAL birth info......so I gave him one last chance and asked him what chapter he came thru....he said he couldn't remember the name!!!!!!! That was all that I could take.....I just stopped talking to him....Its sad becausehe even had a "small" hook tatted on his arm.....I met him when I was deployed for the Air National Guard...but BEST BELIEVE if I had of been in my hometown where I knew some bruhs it would have been on!!!!!

We may need a refresher course....

Okay, here is my run in with a perp...

On the first day of school I saw a girl on campus who was wearing our colors. Now Sorors, I know that we do not own the colors but the manner in which she was wearing them it was apparent that she was trying to perp. Anyway, another student introduced me to her because I guess she thought she was a Soror. She knew that I was because from time to time I wear my "nalia". Anwho, we were introduced and the first thing out of her mouth was I'm not an AKA. I just like wearing the colors. As if to say I like the colors, I'm gonna wear the colors, and you can't stop me. What the... Well we do not have a patent on the colors but I assure you if you are an intrestee offending an AKA does not help your cause!!!!! Needless to say my mouth fell to the ground after her comment. No she didn't... Number one why would you even have to justify yourself if you were not doing something wrong? When I was a sisterfriend one would never catch me in pink and green on campus. On the first day of school too? SIGH!!!!!

Secondly, why did this other student introduce us if she felt she wasn't a Soror? Ever since then every week she had on pink and green. As much as she wears the colors it would be easy for a non member to mistaken her as a Soror. Well, one day I came to class with my AKA jacket on and she was wearing her pink sweatsuit and green headband of all things. She saw me and didn't speak. I guess the jacket left her speechless. You see, my mentality was she might wear the colors but I earn the right to wear the letters. And what gets me is that she hasn't a clue to what Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc stands for. Not a clue. It is more than just wearing pink and green. The nerve of some people

My new Perp Run in:

Some of us Bros had an event last night and someone came through claiming to be Phrat from my Chapter's partnering college chapter. After I found that to be impossible I called Nationals while he was there and they had no record of him. So then Bros and I convinced  him that he would be in good graces if he gave up his para quickly and without drama. Then he said "OH MY AUNT JUST GO HIT BY AN 18 WHEEL TRUCK AND I GOTTA GO" I cannot say what happened next to protect the innocent and the guilty.
