Get READY. HERE WE COME!!!!
When I first stated that the Nets were going to win it all, I had many detractors. Well, now we're 4 wins away and I'm sure we're going to get the job done.
The party in the Meadowlands Parking lot will commence as soon as we finish off either the LA Fakers or the Sacremento Queens. Either one, it doesn't matter. Bring it on! Blueknowledge BTW - don't forget, the Holyfield fight is this weekend. |
interesting game 6 between sacramento and l.a. i'm not a fan of either team, but l.a. shot like 20 something free throws in the 4th quarter alone. guess all that complaining about the officiating is paying dividends.
congrats to the n.j. nets. maybe they're on the road to being known as something other than the franchise that sold dr. j. to the 76ers. |
YEAH!!!
LAKERS WIN!! Now on to the CHAMPIONSHIP!!!:D
|
All hot. All black. All diesel.
LAKERS!
http://www.plauder-smilies.de/jump.gif You just can't underestimate the heart and will of a champion. Champions step up in the fourth quarter and OT (as in the seventh game). This champion also has something that cannot be stopped -- Shaq. Never mind the Diesel's appalling, quasi-clownish off-court gear. The Daddy came to play in games 6 and 7, with 76 points, plenty of boards, intimidating defense and making his throws when need be. Kobe did his part, but the key in the last game was the handsome Rick Fox. Getting a double-double is always a plus from someone other than the Big Two. |
Lakers Win(blah,blah,blah)
Alright they pulled out the victory. The difference wasn't Shaq or Kobe. The difference is Championship experience. Anytime the game is on the line and your team is shooting 50% from the free throw line, you cannot win. So congrats to all of you laker fans, especially HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, LADY STEEL STRAP OF THE PINK AND GREEN.
Lakers over Nets in 4 maybe 5. |
Yeah, I think the Lakers will take it too! I am hoping the Nets will pull it together and get the championship  http://www.plauder-smilies.de/happy/roflmao.gif

Lakers still have the mental edge, and the Kings will have to wait one more year because they have not figured out how to play like champions
Y'all can say what you want about Chris Webber, nut he holds a special place in the hearts of "us" Tarheelz everywhere! LOL! |

I agree Steeltrap, Bibby is a star, Sacramento needs make sure that they resign him cuz cutie pie (chris) is def. not playing like the franchise player. I'm glad the Lakers pulled it out but they had me scared as hell. GO LAKERS!!! Btw, I'm happy for Byron Scott too! :p |
Lakers in 5!
The Lakers had me pretty scared for a minute.
I agree that Sacramento gave them all they could take, but in the end it's the heart of a champion that matters. Sacramento has a lesson to be learned. Better luck next year. But for now . . . 3-peat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Nets
I have to go with the Nets. I am originally from 'Jersey and I have to support the old home team. I like Shaq and I used to watch him play back when he was in Orlando (back when they were in the finals, those were the days.) But I have to root for the Nets as the underdogs. They didn't get it done in game 1 but I still think they can take a game or two.
That's my 2 cents. |
Beyond the daddy. He's the diesel daddy.
S-H-A-Q-U-I-L-L-E!
One word says it all. It shows, at least so far, that if you have two superstars (Kobe's been holding his own), you can do well in an NBA finals situation. Shaq is making the Nets centres look like little girls. But I'm not surprised. Nets Coach Byron Scott came up under Pat Riley, and to quote the Los Angeles Times this morning, Scott believes in "manly" defense, which means no tricks, the centre must play the Diesel straight up. And see what happens. An angry Shaq (thanks to whiny Rick Adelman) pulverizes the poor centres: http://www.plauder-smilies.de/rough/schuss.gif |
I hope the NETS win because I'm tired of the Lakers.
112 P. S. I guess that means I need to be watching the game instead of working huh? |
ok, there are many, many reasons that I do not want the damn, LA Lakers to win anything. Kobe Bryant is the main one. He is one of the rudest and cockiest basketball player on the face of the planet. I know the kid came to the NBA straight out of high school, but come on, get over yourself. When a 22 year old, looks at one of the best coaches, ever in the NBA, and mimics him like a 5 year old, he has got to go!!
Basically all my reasons lead up to the unsportsmanlike conduct that is protrayed on that team. They ALL play dirty and I hope they lose it all. |
