wow that seems so excititng! I wish I could start college all over again simply because of how exciting the first few months are! I think it is pretty odd that the girls move in for rush first, then to their real dorms....are they worried at all they won't be able to get to know the non-greeks in their dorms if they have already rushed and are so busy with a new sorority? Anyway, I'd love to hear how it is going for them...keep us updated!:)

What have Carnation's daughter's ever done to you? Why would you say something so horrible. Certainly reflect what kind of person you are and your character to say that two women whom you've never met deserve to be tortured by anyone.

Wow, rush is really sneaking up on you!!! Sounds like your daughters are really going to be prepared and I know they'll knock the socks off of the sisters at VSU. (Just so you know, don't make any plans for the summer of 2013 because I'm going to be boarding daughter number one with you so you can prep her for rush :D )

Hey Carnation, I post very periodically/randomly, but I do keep up with the threads and wanted to wish your daughers good luck with everything, they will have mad fun in a month! That does kind of suck that they get locked up(not literally, just an expression) for rush, is this a common thing at other schools? It sounds like more trouble than it's worth! But whatever, everything will turn out happily dappily! :D

Concerning this random piphiloony's post, don't get mad people, just point and laugh, everything she says is whack, and she's not even worth getting riled up about. For real, she's obviously one of those peeps who got the chair pulled out from under her butt one too many times in grade school and is now bitter with the world, alas!

Y'all are truly the best. I can't tell you how much your messages of encouragement and support have meant to the girls and me over the last couple of months.

I would be proud to have my girls in any of the 6 outstanding sororities at Valdosta! My husband would too...as he was looking over the rush booklet, he commented,"So do you think we'll be buying violets, roses, or carnations?"
