There were a set of identical twins in my chapter, they were a year older than me. They both joined via formal rush but through seperate rush groups.
One actually rushed me quite a bit when I went through and the other one ended up being a member of my "family." |
We had a fairly long article in our magazine, The Adelphean, about multiples recently. Many were twins or triplets, and if I remember properly, there was one set of quads - not all of them women. In each case, all of the female multiples went ADPi.
When I was in school, there were four sets of twins among the sororities, and I think three sets in fraternities. The females all went to the same GLO, and one set of the male twins split up, while the others stayed with the same. One set that was in ADPi were named Aimee and Angie - can you tell their approximate ages? ;) |
i'm a twin! but that's about all i can add to this thread, as my sister never rushed. we aren't identical, but we're still very close because even fraternal twins share so many of the same experiences that we couldn't help but be close, even when we were at each other's throats :p

We had a set of twins at my chapter and they were in my new member/pledge class. I knew them before we were sisters, and I thought they were pretty much the same personality wise, and in many ways that was true, and the reason why they ended up at Theta. They always took a special picture with their bigs/littles, that was really cute, since that was the first time they were in separate "families."

In 2003, a set of twins joined my chapter. They knew that they wanted to join the same chapter, and luckily, it worked out that way :) One of them is my little sister!

Back when I was in school, we had a set of twins in KD and another in ADPi. Both were sets of fraternal twins-- the ADPi twins didn't look very much alike, but the KD's were almost impossible to distinguish. One of them became my best friend's BigSis-- over time I was able to tell them apart!

We had a set of twins (in-house legacies to boot) go through a few years ago. One joined her legacy chapter, the other joined a different chapter on campus. Both were very happy with their respective choice.

Ooh! I just remembered another set! These two were identical. One went KD and the other joined Alpha Xi. It was very confusing on Wednesdays (all Greeks wear letters on Wednesdays at UCF) if you were a new member and didn't know the girls yet. :)

We had a set of identical twins in my APO chapter. :)

My senior year we had a set of twins go through recruitment. They did not talk at all during the rush process -- again, wanting to find their own identities...both ended up Delta Gamma!! And just like AUDG above, one of them ended up my little sister! :D

We had a twin go through rush and get a bid for ASA, and then we COBed her sister. Compelling story, I know, but there's just not much else to it. Except her twin ended up being one of my favorite people. WIU was one of those campuses that tended to almost ALWAYS have legacies go to their legacy house. You didn't try to legacy-steal, because it just didn't happen.

When I was in college, our GLO magazine printed a picture of a set of identical twins linked arm to arm with a set of identical triplets who had all pledged the same chapter down South.
|
alum, I remember that picture!
Two of my HS friends (fraternal twins, but the whole family looks alike anyway!) both pledged KD at Ole Miss. Their older sister was already in the chapter. Their two younger sisters both pledged when they went to Ole Miss. Eventually, they initiated their mother. Funny thing, in my graduating class of 52, we had three sets of twins: set of girls (my friends), set of boys (fraternal), and a boy/girl set! |

We had SIX sets of twins (3 fraternal, 3 identical, but only one set was mixed gender) in my grad class of 250. They all did an article for the school paper where they switched classes with their twin for the whole day. |
what a great story!!
there was a set of twins in my pledge class, but, alas, i do not have a story to share. we had a member who had a twin who was a member of sigma kappa. we did have quite a few sisters who were "sisters". |
