That doesn't include anything paid for before the end of the previous year, or anything "donated" by the parents club, etc. And rush chairs simply don't tell Panhellenic about certain expenses and hide them in the basement until after phc walks through to inspect their houses. The max budget is kind of a joke; fortunately it's one that every house is in on so there's not really any advantage to one house over another.

haha true. SDT is doing all of formal recruitment but definitely sticking to within the $12k budget.

wow this'll be the first time sdt is participating in formal recruitment in a couple years, right? that's so exciting! and sorry OP for getting so off topic haha

Yup! Last time was fall 2009, though we did convo days last year. Lots of prep work... but we're excited!

Please let us know how it goes. I have a fondness for USC.

Los Angeles bound tonight!!!

I drove down the row last week and saw plenty of hair-flipping and singing practice.
It looked very fun and enthusiastic.

USCTrojanPNM13: come back and tell us what you thought of the harf flipping after seeing it in person! Please share your recruitment experience and where you pledged as well!

I came across this video of Washington State U. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SZwIDOoqYY

Some of the moves the houses did were cute. No hair flinging though. Oh, it's actually a recruitment counselor reveal.

Very cute tradition! I loved how it was choreographed and everything...

Thank You for posting this, NP! Very much enjoyed the nostalgia of the door songs, and it's fun guessing the Rho Chi's houses before they're shown.

Very cute!

What blows my mind is that Boom Boom was introduced to us when I was in school, and it's still being used today! Although we didn't clap, we clicked our fingers. Boom Boom!!

And... some hair flipping!

chiojes 09-05-2013 08:36 PM

The hair flipping is intense!! I bet they are dizzy afterwards. Very cute though

That was a really cute reveal! Who were the women holding the doors open at each house? Sisters? They were dressed differently than the rest of the chapter.

I was Asst Rush Chair for my chapter, we had two Asssts and our job was to open the doors and stand there and smile while the Rush Chair walked out and said "Welcome to Sigma Kappa".

That is who I assumed were holding the doors. We did dress differently than the rest of the house....

Oh did I mention this was 25 years so I may have no idea what I am talking about? tee hee.
