According to twitter, 1058 women have signed up for recruitment at Nebraska.

Oregon chapters are preparing for pledge classes of 50-60. This is the same as last year. Actual registered numbers have not be given out, but many of our PNMs register after school starts at the end of September.

UT closed registration on Monday with 1214. There were 1083 last year.

^^^^this is a very large increase over last year especially considering enrollment numbers. Last year UT admitted its largest class in history with 8092 students, 51% being women. Which would equate to 4126 women. That meant 26% of entering freshman women rushed. This year, although the numbers are not firm, UT committed to keeping their yield at 7200. If that number holds, then this year 33% of entering freshman women are rushing and that is huge. If they all attended pref (which we all know won't happen) pledge classes will be @ 86. But with drop out numbers and the addition of SDT doing formal recruitment I am predicting pledge classes at 73-75. (72 was Quota last year)

That is a very large increase for UT!
I know that the deadline for A&M is today. They had over 1000 last Friday (forgot exact number) Last year was 908 I think. |
TCU has about 930 going through this year. Given that Freshmen classes are typically in the 1800 range, well, you can do the math. :)

Upperclass numbers typically are in the 20% range due to the cap program. I was tired last night and didn't think about that when calculating percentage of incoming women....oh well. It is work week.:p

Sophomore quota was 13 last year. It could be higher this year due more students taking advantage of the CAP program and more sophomores rushing for the first time.

update on UT's numbers..I was 3 off..the official count is 1217!
|
Final count for FSU is 1,710...that's a lot!

University of Louisville begins recruitment today. Not sure how many are registered.

Murray State University(KY) has had 362 women sign up for recruitment. Maybe not as big as other schools, but it's a 48% increase for them.
http://murrayledger.com/news/local/c...a4bcf887a.html Also reporting a 60% increase for fraternity recruitment. |
