Ditto. Love the book; hate the movie.

The Hobbit
Life of Pi
Wreck it Ralph

I just could not get into these movies.

Whoever said Atonement---did they change it for the movie? The book wasn't a dream and was pretty good I thought (but I read it on vacation, and I have a much higher tolerance then)

Everyone's going to hate me for this, but:
Star Wars
(watched it/them at age 5 was terrified of the Ewoks [I KNOW. I was a fraidy cat kid] and didn't see it again 'til I was in college at which point I knew the whole story and was underwhelmed by the acting/effects)
(I just. don't. get it)
(if my bf and I ever break up, this might be why)

I think the only reason some one would KILL you is for calling "Empire Strikes Back" "Star Wars". That's the most hated of the three original movies, because of those Ewoks, and a Star Wars fanatic will tell you there IS a distinction. I personally loved Empire, but I was 9 when it came out, and I got an audio tape of the movie for Christmas that I listened to all the time. The movies have not aged well, IMHO, and I can't stand the new ones.

Actually Return of the Jedi was the Ewok-fest.

I didn't like Juno either. So pretentious.

All of the American Pies
Van Wilder
Major Payne
Magic Mike
Pitch Perfect
Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Yes, Return of the Jedi. The Empire Strikes Back is deemed the favorite of a lot of Star Wars fans.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I hated the movie "plot line" that consisted of making sure the kid had his train ticket. As if Santa would throw someone off the train or out of the North Pole because of a lost ticket. Some books just can't be stretched to movie length.

So late to the party, I know, but I LOLed when I saw this. It reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine had to sit through it more than once and she HATED it!

I also yawned at Rushmore. It was disappointing.

That's exactly what I thought of when I saw that post! Great minds. :D

Am I the only female who just was not into Dirty Dancing at all?

Nope. I was never into it either.

I liked Patrick Swayze but I can't think of any movie of his that I liked. Including Ghost which was just stupid.

Kristen Stewart is a mouth-breather and I can not stand to look at her. I just want her to close her mouth, PLEASE, and breath through her nostrils like a normal person. Ugh.

Just ugh.

My favorite Patrick Swayze movie is "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar."

Someone told me Ted was an excellent movie, but I hated it.

Oh yeah, I've heard good things about that movie. Thanks. I'll have to check it out.

Meanwhile, I have to add Donnie Darko to the list of well-liked films that I just don't get. I've tried to watch it three times and I just can't do it. Maybe it gets better towards the end?
