It would be an honor to receive a bid to any of them. Don't get caught up in other's opinions.

THIS IS AWESOME!!

This is perhaps one of the most sincere and open-minded recruitment story I have ever read.

While some may say that is because she had a full schedule during every round and she ended up at her favorite sorority, I think it might be the reverse - the OP focused on the positives of every group, and kept her mind open even if she didn't "feel" the warm fuzzies for everyone.

Someone once said (and it's been repeated many times) that you should approach each round as if it's the first day, because the truth is, mooning over the groups who don't end up on each day's list is pointless.

Congratulations!!

Congrats on a very happy ending!

I completely agree with this. I kept marveling at the comments and how she often said she'd be happy to return to her non-faves. I think this is a great lesson to PNMs. :-)

Congratulations!

I admit my curiosity got the best of me. Is it true Alpha Gamma Delta has active collegiate chapters at 4 SEC schools? Or is it more?

It has to be said again...what a GREAT recruitment story. And I agree with the others that the reason is because the OP remained positive and unbiased.

Every PMN should read this thread!

Congrats!!! Alpha Gamma Delta gained a fabulous new sister :)

Well, AGD + 17 chapters still leaves 3 options for SEC schools, if I'm remembering my 17 chapter SEC schools correctly.

To the OP, congratulations on Alpha Gam and a successful recruitment! Thank you for sharing it with us!

psst...check out irishpipes' thread for the answer!

Congratulations, avanti3l your story was fun reading, and I'm very pleased that you are an AGD! Enjoy your collegiate membership which can extend beyond college if you are so inclined ;)

AGDLynn 11-28-2012 07:53 PM

Not to hijack the thread but I was curious, too!

Active SEC chapters: UGA!, Alabama, Auburn, KY, SCar, Ga. Tech (Once SEC, ACC now)

Closed SEC Chapters: Missouri, Texas A&M, Miss State, Tenn, Tulane (Yep...decades ago)

Not yet ;) Florida, Vandy, Ark, Miss
