As a former Limited employee who still recieves her daily e-mails- never, ever, ever pay full price. They run 40% off everything on a regular basis (like, 1 time per month it seems), and always have a special on something.

Check retailmenot.com for coupons as well. Don't pay full price at the mall- you rarely have to.

Good to know. I just checked, and there's one in the mall here, so I can check it out the next time I go there.

THIS!

Every time I go into the Limited I want EVERYTHING for work! And yes, I have found many good deals there. Hmm, I speaking of which, I need to make a trip soon...

They have a lot of twofers on basics, so I find I often spend a lot, but get a lot.

I see...I might check it out, although more expensive than Express is definitely out of my price range...

As I said...

I also shop at Express, The Limited, H&M, etc. The trick is to wait for deals. I get coupons in the mail from Express all the time. Two weekends ago, I walked into the Limited not knowing if they had any deals, and the woman at the door handed me this card and said, "Open it, and today only, you get that percentage off of your entire purchase." 30%. When I got up to the register, the person in front of me said she wasn't going to use hers and gave it to me.. bumped it up to 40% off.

Most of these stores also have an email signup where they send you coupons and keep you apprised of upcoming sales. Sign up for these!

I'm a major bargain hunter. The last time I went to Kohl's, I got a boatload of stuff (2 pairs of pants, 2 dresses, a belt, a shirt, and a pair of shorts) for about $70.

I rarely, if ever, pay full price for anything at Express. Get on their mailing list and they send out cards for $15 off $30/$25 off $75 or some variation of that at least every other month. Combine that with their end of the season sale and you can get some serious deals. Sometimes I will cave if I desperately want something or am going back for another of the same item in a different color, but I try not to go there without a card

I've definitely gotten some good deals at Express before. I've only ever gotten one thing at full price there, and it was because I was 100% in love with it and "had to have it."

See if any department stores have a last chance/clearance store in your area. For example Dillard's has one here and I got my son several nice Cremieux polos for $5 each.

I've been pretty impressed with Target's basics lately. They do vanity size, IMO, so it's good to go in and try stuff on.

I'm also a big proponent of Nordstrom Rack and Ebay (I get all of my jeans from the former and all of my last-season, was-too-expensive-off-the-rack stuff from the latter.)

Zara is good as well (just stay away from the super-hoochie skirts and shirts), although for the life of me, I will never be able to figure out their sizing. I have stuff from there in like three different number and two different letter sizes.

They cost around half what you'd pay for the same clothing at a department store and it's tailor-made so the fit is always perfect.

....You are my favorite person for the day. This looks awesome. As a tall/athletic woman, buying suits is a bloody process. I'm so willing to shell out for something that will actually fit and won't be hideous in five years.

Guys at my old job used to get suits from here. I think they have a little office downtown by the HYP club. But at any rate, they do have a presence here. :)

I think I passed by the other day-- I just got a new client in downtown...one of my main motivations for a new suit, plus my upcoming conference presentation.
