my favorite scene is probably is in As Good As it Gets
When he tells her she makes him want to be a better man.
That kills me, everytime... and also in Steel Magnolias when they are at the cemetary and the one lady says
"HERE HIT WEEZER" and they all start laughing. It makes me quit crying.

Dead Poet Society which the protagonist Neil Perry is at his window after having just put on a brilliant performance in "A Midsummer's night dream," but the specific part is when he puts back on his crown of thorns.

Top Two:

*Say Anything with the boom box and "In Your Eyes"

* Days of Thunder: Tom Cruise explains drafting to Nicole Kidman on her leg with packets of sweet and low :)

Tombstone- When Doc tells Wyatt "I have not yet begun to defile myself" and when Wyatt sees that the devil is really the lady he saw in the street and says "Well I'll be damned......." and Doc says "You may indeed....." or something to that effect.

Smokey and the Bandit. When the Mississippi sherriff tells Buford T Justice on the CB "The fact that you are a sherriff does not germain to the situation" and Buford says "The goddamn GERMANS got nothin to do with it!!!" haha thats a good one.

South Park the Movie- "How would you like to suck my BALLS Mr. Garrison?" by Cartman. LOL.

High Noon- The scene where Cain kills all the Miller boys.

Every single damn scene from Gettysburg.

8 seconds- When Lane thinks Tuff has pissed the bed while he was drunk.

Every Which way but Loose- "Right turn Clyde........"

Hot Shots (I dont know if its one or deux"- When Lloyd Bridges is on the tower and his hat flies off and he tells the other guy to turn the AIRCRAFT CARRIER around and go get his hat.

nucutiepie 02-18-2002 09:25 PM

Say Anything - with the boom box and "In your eyes"

Gettysburg - Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain on top of little round top when they have no ammo left and they fix bayonets and charge down the hill. Damn I love that scene (im a history major, what can I say?)

Bridget Jones - where shes running in her underwear

ALL OF LEGALLY BLONDE if I need to be cheered up

ZTAngel 02-18-2002 09:39 PM

A League of Their Own- the end when Dottie is looking at all the old pictures....I cry everytime
Fried Green Tomatoes- when she runs her car into the young girl's car and says "Well I've got insurance!"
South Park Movie- Any scene with Satan and Saddam gets me cracking up
Billy Madison- And who could forget Adam Sandler's famous line "Veronica Vaughn...so hot! Wanna touch the hinee! Owwwww!!!!!"
The Saint- Any scene that showed Val Kilmer without his disguise (drool forms at the corners of ZTAngel's mouth as she thinks of Val Kilmer....hmmm...ZTAngel Kilmer....doen't sound bad...)

RedHotChiO 02-19-2002 01:36 PM

Sixteen Candles

The scene at the end where Sam is standing at the church doors, and the cars part to reveal Jake Ryan leaning against his red porsche. He waves at her, and she looks behind her to see if anyone else is there. He mouths to her, "Yeah, you." I live for that scene!

Ferri Bueller

Ferris Bueller: The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom. A lot of people will tell you that a phony fever is a dead lock, but if you get a nervous mother, you could land in the doctor's office. That's worse than school. What you do is, you fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.
I did have a test today. That wasn't bullshit. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European, I don't plan on being European, so who gives a crap if they're socialist? They could be fascist anarchists - that still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car. Not that I condone fascism, or any ism for that matter. Isms in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an ism - he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon: "I don't believe in Beatles - I just believe in me". A good point there. Of course, he was the Walrus. I could be the Walrus - I'd still have to bum rides off of people.

Ooooo! One of my all-time favorite movies! My favorite scenes were:

- when she first came into the club and she saw Johnny and he was like "what is she doing here?" and she says "I was carrying a watermelon..." Then afterward she is like "I was carrying a watermelon?"

- also at the end when Johnny comes back to the last dance thingee and says "Nobody puts Baby in the corner!"

Saving Private Ryan - just about the whole damn movie...especially the end when the old Ryan asks his wife if he lived a good life, if he deserved the gift all those men gave him...the ultimate gift of sacrifice their life for his.

Star Wars - the creature cantina scene in the original version

Ferris Buller - so many scenes, but especially the phone prank on Rooney with Cameron telling him to mind his p's & q's

Braveheart - when the Scots moon the English army, and then shake their wangs at them...classic

Better Off Dead - the crazed newspaper boys mantra, "I want my two dollars!"

Animal House - the Omega rush party, when the future Deltas keep being introduced to Jugdish, Mohammad, etc. etc. I swear that was the same tactics a rival fraternity used when I was in school!

Road Trip - the party scene with the guys at the black fraternity...it's tricky!!

The Patriot - when Mel finally kills the evil British horseman and said that his sons were better men.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it's the one with Brad Pitt, Jason Patric, Minnie Driver and Robert DeNiro about the kids who get sexually abused by the guards in juvy hall. Later when they're grown, two of them find the main guard and kill him. Pitt plays the lawyer who stages the trial in order to lose, and Patric is the newspaper writer who covers the trial. That movie is very disturbing but the courtroom scenes when Pitt has masterminded both prosecution and defense is great.

Drama: The final scene in "The Shawshank Redemption" when Morgan Freeman is walking towards Tim Robbins on the beach in Mexico. What a great movie and what a great ending!

Comedy: So many, but I think that "Heathers" and the scene at the first Heather's funeral when everybody is walking by her casket and you can hear their thoughts! Also when Winona says, "They're going to send my transcript to San Quentin instead of Stanford!" Love that!

Starlet 07-06-2002 07:34 PM

Sixteen Candles - I love when Molly Ringwald is sitting on the table w/ "Jake" at the end of the movie.

Notting Hill - When the press asks Julia Roberts how long she plans on staying and she says "indefinitely."

The whole Goonies movie.

Dave - This movie is great; especially the part when Kevin Cline cuts the budget.

The Rock - Another good action movie. I liked when one of the guys in charge tells Nicholas Cage to use his gun, and then Sean Connery takes it away from him...or when he says, "Welcome to the Rock," in the beginning.

Coyote Ugly - The last scene when Violet asks her boyfriend, "So what do you do when all your dreams come true?"

There's tons more, but those are the ones that came to mind.

ROWDYsister 07-06-2002 08:01 PM

"Breakfast at Tiffany's" when they're in Tiffany's and ask what they can buy for $10, and when they walk out of the Five and Dime with masks on, and when she finds Cat.

"Pretty Woman" where Richard Gere shows up at the end in his limo with an umbrella and flowers.

"Legally Blonde" where Elle is speaking at graduation.

"The Sweetest Thing" where you're not really sure if she's going to give him a chance or not but then she comes back and tells him that he's a terrible kisser.

"When Harry Met Sally" where he sings to her over the answering machine and she finally picks up the phone...and New Year's Eve at the end.

"Rear Window" when Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart finally solve the mystery. Oh, and when he has to fight off the bad guy from his wheelchair with only his camera and a bunch of flash bulbs.

"Office Space" when the boss calls over and over and you just hear, "Uh, yeah...it's me...I'm gonna need you to come in today..."
