I was thinking snake...that would definitely be an fairly unusual pet.

ASUADPi 04-03-2012 09:47 PM

Well I know ADPi would be out of the running for that house, because no sane person is gonna have a lion as a pet. :D

I actually thought owl, maybe even a turtle. What are some of the other mascots?

Our friends in Houston used to raise baby lions and tigers for the zoo. These animals roamed the house at will. My mother once asked me if I remembered the sharp smell of urine in the house but I can only remember the luxuriousness of the house and passing lion and tiger cubs on the elegant staircases.

Were these folks sane? My mom would plead the 5th.;)

A lot of Bears, a Panda, a Penguin, a Ladybug, two Owls, a Giraffe, a Squirrel, a Turtle, two Lions and a Dolphin

And then there's a sphinx and a unicorn... but if she had either of those this is definitely fiction...

My vote is for the squirrel. I've had friends that kept them as pets, and a lot of people think they're cute and cuddly.. I'm terrified of them myself.

AGDLynn 04-03-2012 10:24 PM

As much as I love squirrels, I wouldn't want one as a pet.

My bil and sil in law kept some small sugar gliders.

Oh my, so sorry for the confusion there y'all. I assure you that no federal animal protection laws were broken in the making of my rush story!! My sarcastic side came out a little with the lion thing, I should've clarified that I was kidding.

I've set a goal of posting one day's worth of recruitment story per day. I'll use it as a study break. :)

This thread is wonderful! I'm patiently waiting for the next installment!:)

I'm still working on the whole pet thing...

For the record, some sororities do still have local mascots. The "pet" could be one of these.

OMG I would love that! I think lion and tiger cubs are absolutely adorable!

LAblondeGPhi 04-04-2012 08:47 AM

I was gonna say a crescent moon. They don't require much food or attention.

AlphaFrog 04-04-2012 09:10 AM

Y'all are missing the obvious.....

It's a Phoenix. She lived in a fireproof house of course.

ETA: Why am I feeling like this is going to be "that thing"?
