One has a common name that is too tough to Google, but the other is a KD from BSC.

Now why does that not surprise me in Mtn Brook?

Not impressed with the website. Everything seems squished together which makes it hard for things to stand alone.

As for if it will fly....we'll see...

(Personally, I wouldn't want to be called a biddy.)

I think that their use/choice of the word "biddie" is also a play on the word bid...which is what they are guaranteeing. At least that's what I thought when I first went to the site.

Yes, as someone with a marketing/PR degree. People with no experience in that field often think something is clever and makes sense to them, even when it really doesn't. I didn't say I thought it was effective but it did cross my mind.

Psst...I was being sarcastic, Cap't Obvious. ;)

NutBrnHair 01-16-2012 04:10 PM

I kid.

You two are just too advanced for most of us! ;)

Yeah, that took me until Titchou's post until it clicked. Biddie to me is this:

Or this.

I knew somebody was going to post a link from that! I'd been picturing that all along!

carnation 07-16-2012 09:46 PM

Has anybody here used a consultant?

oncegreek 07-16-2012 10:13 PM

The New York Times has a cover story about "rush consultants."
That is, today's issue, 7/16/12.

And it's these knuckleheads, too.

FSUZeta 07-17-2012 07:42 PM

Excerpted from the NY Times article:

"Samantha von Sperling is an image consultant in New York, but lately her bread-and-butter Wall Street clients have asked her to help their daughters get ready for rush at schools like Harvard; the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and New York University, which has added three chapters since 2006 and more than doubled the number of sisters, to 570."

Ladies, what are we doing wrong? This woman charges $8000 for a Friday thru Sunday session. I just spent an hour with a terrific young woman today for free! And there is no ZTA chapter where she will be attending college!
