Karissa's eyebrows are distracting.

^^^LOL. I seriously wonder how Kelly and Judy notice EVERYTHING about everyone, and not her drawn on brows.

Sorority update! Just found out that Mackenzie Weeks (who cheers under the name Mackenzie Lee) is a Kappa Delta from FSU according to her Linkedin profile. She's one of my favorites; absolutely adorable!
|
Show premiers early this year- 9/7 I believe. The big highlight of Episode 1 seems to be Grandma who auditioned at 55.
I'm so "spoiled" it's ridiculous but I won't ruin the fun for others :) Going to miss some vets- Ally, Sasha, Brittany Evans. Lots of spots for new people...and that's all I'm saying ;) |
It is back!!!
FWIW...Brittany Evans is a Delta Gamma, not Tri Delta. She just had a baby girl :) Just found out that Miss Colin Sarvis is an ADPi from Clemson. Unfortunately she didn't make it back- she was one of my faves. There was something so to boy cute about her :( Collin's Twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/collin_sarvis One of the girls mentioned being a Kappa in the uniform fittings tonight, but in the sea of blondes I can't tell them apart yet. I wonder who else was in a sorority? Lots of the girls go to Kilgore JC first, so they can take part in their Rangerettea dance team. I imagine transferring to a Texas school as a junior would greatly decrease their ability to get a bid? Lots of the girls are still in school, so I imagine work (if applicable), school, DCC and a sorority might just be too much? |
Here is an article where Brittany mentions being a Delta Gamma:

Love watching the DCC show!

Several of the current girls are TCU grads and were on the dance team while in college. One of them- a blond but can't think of her name- is a Tri-Delt. Kelsey is a Theta. Both have graduated from TCU and are no longer in school. |
Vivian is a UNT ΚΚΓ.
|
Cool! Thanks.
The blond girl from TCU is Jordan. Is Vivian still in college? I loved her- she is so pretty :) |

When Kelly asked if so and so was in a sorority and she answered yes, obviously they had been talking about it and I was really, really, really wanting Kelly to say "I'm an ADPi".
Grr if she did and they edited it out. While I like watching the show, I really hate how much emphasis they are putting on weight. I get that the girls need to be fit, but it is a bit excessive. I mean having it in their contracts that they can't gain weight?!?! I hope these people realize that muscles weighs more than fat. Then you have girls like Vivian, who has a great body, but because she is shorter and has more muscular thighs is being told that she needs to be down to a weight of 114 (when she only weighs 123 in the first place!). What the hell is that about? It's one thing to gain weight and look "frumpy" in the uniform but come on, I would KILL for any of those girls bodies!!!!!!!!! |
Ugh! I know! The irony of it all is, there is heavy speculation that the cause of Courtney Cook's rather unexplained departure was an eating disorder. Sooo...how to respond to that? Training, education, compassion? No- let's take the concern over weight and body type and intensify it!
I do understand that yes, they do need to focus on this issue. But, at the same time, why even pick someone like my girl Vivian when you are only going to turn around and basically tell her to change her body type. Do you know how muscular girls like Vivian become stick thin? They develop eating disorders! She is probably as thin as she is going to get in a healthy way. She's solid- there's not really any flab to lose. The irony is that the fans voted on Vivian. People want to see people with her body type and look. And that still doesn't convince them to just leave her be, or to pick more curvy girls. They shouldn't have even brought her into camp. 8 lbs isn't going to change her body type. (This is speculation and not a spoiler btw...) I'm built like Vivian, so obviously I'm biased... Ok, now that I'm done complaining about THAT...the show is pretty good this year! |
Reminds me of this: My lower body (calves specifically) is smallish. If someone is asking ME to have awesome calves, it's not going to happen. I can protein shake, work out, squat, etc. until the end of time. I'm not going to have legs like Jillian Michaels. They are still going to be chicken legs.
