For clarity purposes, is that supposed to make him different than other gay men? Or, are you saying that there is diversity and such diversity is not rare?

While sexual orientation, has the word "sex" in it, the central component is not bedroom sexcapades.

Right, and most gay men don't either. Gay stereotypes on TV (and in my experience, gay men who are really insecure with their sexuality) do, it's not the norm.

This is where I would need education.

What do you mean? Is the central component of your life the sex you have?

Rhetoricals:

When did you know which gender(s) you were attracted to and what you considered your sexual orientation (without using that terminology)? Did you have to wait until you knew what sex was or had your first sexual encounter (I am not assuming that you are not a virgin). Does your sexual orientation disappear when you aren't thinking about or engaging in sex?

Maybe he means "central" as in "occurring in the bedroom, which is basically in the middle of the floor plan."

For me, unfortunately, that would mean Poundtown would basically be on top of the stove. Maybe I could hang a swing off the range hood.

(This thread blows my mind - where, oh where, did we hide the pioneers?)

It would never work between us. Central would be my laundry room.

All things being equal (checking account-wise), I'd prefer to send out my laundry. I think that would be considered cheating.

I'm in the hallway. I'm so clearly indecisive.

I'm in the center of my living room, but there are floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Japanese Friendship Garden. nobody needs to see that. It'd be like the Highline and the Standard Hotel in NYC.

Yeah, me too-and the travertine would kill my back. Or my husband's. Which would be a no-go for both of us-one spouse's back pain, and the other spouse having to deal with the other spouse's bad back crabbiness.

It would definitely be cheating. But, my laundry room is really small, so the only option would be on top of the washer. Which, you know, is fine, but we'd have to send the laundry out anyway.

Indecisive or want it all?

Prude.

Obviously both. The hallway opens onto multiple rooms, thus suggesting I want more than one bedroom in my life and it 'goes both ways' so really it's a decent metaphor.

Let me tell you though, I'm not like those OTHER hallwaysexuals.

Proud to say I am. I have stayed at the Standard. It is rather comical.
