Wow. I can't tell whether you're purposely being sunshine and roses or if you really are clueless about the state of our immigration system....

In all seriousness I'm willing to bet that I know more about the immigration system than anyone else on this site ;)

I've been fighting it for the last 7 years, so I've become pretty well versed. Although it's mostly the I-130/I-485 part.

Having naturalized 4 daughters, I'm betting that I can compete in that arena! We've helped a lot of others too...I taught ESOL for 20 years.

I wouldn't say you know more but you certainly know a lot.

But there are those of us that are right up there with ya. ;)

Ok kids.. What have we learned so far?

glitzPrincess08 asks ridiculous relationship questions, and she thinks she's a scholar.

Drolefille is mean.

carnation, AlphaFrog and Tulip86 speak German.

International students are going to take all of our jobs.

Any questions?

Being a military brat born in Germany does not make you German.

Your GoogleGerman sucks.

You need a lawyer. Everyone going through it needs a lawyer from the start. Family petitions are the hardest because the visa paperwork and associated fees fall solely on the petitioner. And God forbid you incorrectly fill out a form because USCIS will shred your application right in front of you and make you start over. It's also helps if you marry overseas and bring your spouse over as a K-3.

This is the part that burns me...there is no reason why the system should be so complicated that a person of average intelligence should NEED a lawyer to make it through it.

It can be just as headache inducing for the people on the other side of the desk as it is for you. It's part of the reason why I want a career change and I don't even work for USCIS.

I still want to know why she 'friended' me if I'm so mean and negative and :(

Maybe it's a German troll thing.
