I do think that ks is right though. We used to be the "kids" of GC and now we're working, getting married, having kids, starting grad/med/etc. school or advancing in our careers and we don't have time like we used to. I know that during the week, my time is pretty limited. The only reason I'm on at 2pm on a Monday is because of Spring Break at work (in a school.)

Riiiiiiiight. We need one of these every once in a while.

You seen a binturong in a zoo? The two at ours could have been dead and no one would have noticed.

Falling is moving to much for a binturong.

I started looking up binturongs, then I got distracted by pix of similar creatures....

And I'm done.

GC is the only social website that I don't check from my phone.

Also, when I have a few minutes to hop on my computer, I'll look at the recent threads and nothing really sticks out, so I just move on.

Loving how on topic this thread stayed. #sarcasm
Definitely some hilarious posts scattered throughout, though. ilaughed

I used to login and visit each forum and read all the new threads, but now I just bookmark the New Threads and they're all in one place - but I think I end up skipping a lot more than I did when I read each forum individually.

The site upgrades have made me very lazy.

This. I can't remember the last time I went into a forum and not just into new topics. Whenever John changed the site, it seems like one forum (new posts) with the individual forums being more like a classification of the post.

They told me what I already know which is that you all are a bunch of losers in real life who need the Internet to feel good about yourselves. You make Greekdom look so bad and I'm happy you aren't in my chapter. I wonder what your headquarters would think if I emailed this to them.

Look, because you’re new, and I’m bored and in a good mood, I’m going to help you out. Here are just some of the rules of Greekchat, and little things you need to know:

1) If you claim it happened in a PM, it didn’t happen. We need proof.
2) Most likely, the only people who have ever agreed with you live in Happy Pony Rainbow Land. If you haven’t been there, you should definitely go. I hear it’s lovely this time of year.
2) If we’re such losers, don’t come here looking for advice.
2) We feel good about ourselves, regardless of whether or not we’re on the interwebz. We rock!
3) Sequined hose are not allowed.
4) We’re happy we’re not in your chapter, too. This way, we don’t have to put up with your crap… or actually pretend that you’re fo’ realz.
5) Don’t EVER type in pink. THAT’S KSUVIOLET’S COLOR!!!!!!!one!!1!!!!
6) The people at HQ are our home dawgs. Don’t be messin’.

Perhaps new folks are answering their questions via the search function like we ask them to?

As for us alumni members, which most of us are now, many have simply moved on. Kids these days are a lot more savvy about finding information out for themselves, and the resources seem much more readily available. For example, I have a cousin who is going through recruitment at OU in the Fall (I believe). She has already been in touch with my brother's wife who is a Chi Omega alumna, with my aunt who is a Kappa Alpha Theta, etc., getting her recs lined up. She's registered with the local panhellenic which allows her to print out the rec forms and register and such.

As far as actives go, many chapters have strict online policies, so that may be affecting new non-spammer registrations.

I've decided that I don't need GC anymore. This isn't the place for me. I need a place where you can speak freely without getting beaten up for it. Goodbyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeee!

I can't believe this thread has gotten to 5 pages! (Someone had to say it to make this a real GC trainwreck.)

But Wiki says they can travel up to 1400 feet a day. Kind of like a slug.

As long as KSUViolet is still in school, I think we'll all still be ok. :)
