If everyone "proceeded accordingly", nothing would be on the internet. Including all of us.

That doesn't mean she's getting what she deserves when people are going out of their way to harass her (which is what the 4chan plot boils down to, although I'm not sure if they carried it out) for putting something on the internet.

Criticism of her stupid video and stupid song are fine by me, even jokes about it are fine, but at some point a line is crossed when information is published that not only puts her safety at risk but that of her classmates as well. The kid's in 8th grade, come on.

If the kid wants to act like an adult, she should expect to be treated like one. Again, I’m not saying she deserves this, but to think that this information absolutely, positively would never be leaked is ignorant. This is the risk you take when plastering yourself all over tv/movies/the internet.

In my opinion, to claim this is cyber-bullying is a bit of a stretch.

Serious question (to those lawyers out there) – I know that cyber-bullying is still a fairly new concept, so maybe no one will really be able to answer this, but… would the burden of proof be similar to that of libel and slander, in regard to the difference between these crimes being committed against someone famous vs. someone like you or me?

Her parents made the ultimate decision, though.

Also, 4chan has published information about her school, her school's calendar, and were talking about doing some kind of Operation Black Friday today.

4chan is fucking scary. They can do anything.

My Jeans

Some people are saying this one is more acceptable because she's even younger, but this still makes me want to throw up.

You aren't alone there. Even my 13 year old little sister asked me why would someone do that to themselves?

Not to be talking about anybody's kids (but I will). Who told her to do her mouth like that when she was lip syncing? Booooo

knight_shadow 03-18-2011 02:55 PM

I noticed the mouth thing, but I was curious who told a 12 year old that getting behind the wheel was OK.

Did I miss where she's acting like an adult?

I will say something positive about it. That quilt on her bed is pretty.

I just watched it again.

"Staring in the mall window, I finger-do a smile"

"Ha ha ha ha, jack my swag"

OK, a couple days ago when I first heard this song I couldn't even comprehend how bad it was. Now it's completely stuck in my head and all over my Facebook...can't wait until they play this at bars and start a massive sing-a-long. So bad it's amazing.

Hold up...I just listened to the words. Did she REALLY say, "It feels like heelies are racing on my spine?"

While horrid in it's own right it's not nearly as bad as "Fraiyday".
