BTW, many states offer incentives to bring productions to their state. These productions are a wonderful source of income. IMPORTED people, be they tech or the major actors, spend lots of money in states outside of California and New York. The productions also provide incredible free advertising for the state. Canada requires a certain percentage of the cast/crew be Canadian. Production companies do not import people for jobs as extras or one line. Building sound stages are wonderful. But the people using them tend to be from out of state.

Yeah, Michigan has been bite by the "Hollywood" bug lately.

A friend of my daughter is filming in Michigan now.

I hope this isn't directed at me - I haven't called anyone a "hater" (or something else in different words). I'm listening to everyone, questioning where I have questions, and making a decision based on all of the info I have.

Also, think of it this way: How many people say things like "you're taking advice from a message board instead of the real people you know?" when they come here asking about certain aspects of Greek life (since we're using those kind of analogies) - this could be considered the same type thing.

This year's group is leaving in two weeks, so they'll be able to come back and share their experiences.
