Your post bumped it, and I had the exact same reaction.

I make a lot of mistakes here which I am later horrified by, but I love reading the grammar nerd level of interest in this thread.

I love that this thread was bumped maybe an hour after I changed my signature.

Recent grammar irritation: when people type 'could of' instead of 'could have' or 'could've'. It scares me that people actually think it's OF. aack!

LOL Though don't hold my current ceiling against me. It's not incorrect, just translated.

And whenever someone confuses "a part" with "apart", they deserve a lashing with a wet noodle.

Not quite the same as grammar abuse, but poor fact-checking sets my teeth on edge. Witness this breaking-news headline from earlier today that someone managed to screenshot before it was corrected:
