Don't think so, I just think they caught him unable to put the thought together.

Hey, Angle gets called Asian-American too, so you know, anyone could be a Secret Asian.

*hums* Secret ASIAN man, Secret ASIAN man, they've given you a number...

Rick Scott in Florida has ads with his mother and wife talking about how great he is.. they give me the heebie jeebies.

An opponent has an ad about how Scott plead the fifth 75 times  as much as I hate ads that just bash other people, that one makes me laugh a little every time.

I'll start with this one from Alabama. It sets the standard high. Very high.

Dale Peterson for Alabama Agriculture Commissioner: We are Better than That!

Funny how the backpedaling starts.

Right? Asians? The only border fence I know of is on the U.S./Mexican border and 99% of the people crossing it actually are of Hispanic origin. The fact that she is running the ad then pretending to be ignorant of its meaning just to pander to a particular crowd shows lack of creditability.

I don't know what's funnier, Sharon Angles craziness or the fact that she's giving Reid the stiffest competition he's had in years. Imagine if a sane, competent person was running against him... He wouldn't have a chance in hell.

It's probably more ironic that he's going to (i think) survive the election because of the crazy. When running a sane candidate against him would have resulted in a loss. But noooooo had to go all Tea Party, didn't you Nevada?

Pretty much everyone assumed he was going to get booted for low popularity and .. why hellllo Sharron Angle.

Was Angle a republican primary upset like Christine O'donnell?

I had to double check because I thought so. Looks like Sue Lowden was the expected winner, and Angle was Tea Party Express endorsed. (And Angle was polling 3rd, at the time.)

However there is a Tea Party candidate that Angle asked not to run so she could beat Reid; he is still in the race though AFAIK.

So, yes, she's a Tea Party upset.

Yeah, well Alex Sink, speaking of secret Asian men, is the great granddaughter of a famous Siamese twin from North Carolina, someone named Bunker Chang.

I voted against Alex, by the way. Lesser of two evils. Alex helped run State Farm out of Florida. We're so hard up for homeowners insurance companies in this state. Thanks, Alex!

Texas Contradiction Ads

Rick Perry (Rep., current governor) says he has created over 800,000 jobs in Texas:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARDfHfMxy8Q

but, Bill Flores, running as a Republican to unseat a Democrat says that there is more unemployment than ever in Texas and its Obama's and the current Dems fault:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Jce4...eature=related

So, which is it Republicans? More jobs in Texas or more unemployment in Texas than ever?

Another interesting ad for Rick Perry. I can't find the link, but the widow of a Houston police officer killed by an illegal immigrant, talks about how Perry's opponent, the former mayor of Houston, supported "Sanctuary Cities". (Here's a link, because I don't quite understand all the legallese. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctuary_city She finishes the ad by saying that Rick Perry will "protect our borders". Ma'am, Rick Perry was the governor when your husband died in the line of duty. If he didn't protect the border then, how's he going to do it in the future?

AnchorAlum 10-31-2010 09:35 PM

Rick is going to be re-elected.

That's the only fact I know.

I don't have television, but I heard one ad on the radio that cracked me up. Our Republican candidate for Congress, Raul Labrador had this commercial that pretty much called our current guy Walt Minnick out on not keeping Obama and Nancy Pelosi in check while in DC. Although Minnick is a Democrat, he would be a Republican almost anywhere else and I find it hysterical that his first term in Congress replacing the guy who made breast cancer survivors march against him in Boise (Bill Sali, he's a graduate of Boise State University and Idaho Law), he's expected to bring down the Democrat majority and everything is all his fault.

He didn't vote for "Obama Care" he didn't vote for the Reinvestment Act, so I'm not sure why Mr. Labrador thinks Walt is BFFs with Pelosi. Neither of them really represent me or my beliefs, and frankly neither do the other two candidates so I really do get to pick the least evil.

I am kind of bummed though that I have local candidates personally coming to my house and leaving hand written notes and have missed them every single freaking time. I'd love to have gotten into it with certain peeps and since I am registered Independent everyone contacts me with all their propaganda.

SCORE! You can listen and watch some of the awesome right here http://www.labrador4idaho.com/video-gallery/

I've heard that ad on the radio. Perry and White have completely different positions when it comes to border security. Perry wants the deployment of the National Guard, border fence, more border patrol, etc while White wants more local Sheriffs deputies on patrol in the border counties. I don't know if White really is an advocate for sanctuary cities, but at the same time I don't know why Perry hasn't proposed anything banning sanctuary cities in TX in the last ten years either.

You are on my shit list, Pat Toomey. You called me (or rather your automated crap called me) at 8 o'freaking clock in the morning. This is unacceptable. I don't care what you stand for, your dumb ass just lost my vote.

One of the races around here has a candidate doing an ad with a James Bond theme (calling his opponent Dr. No). It's just getting silly at this point.
