DUH.

Little32 02-16-2010 02:03 PM

Just saying, you have been all up and through this thread to be someone who finds Mayer uninteresting and unworthy.

DaemonSeid 02-16-2010 02:06 PM

So, neither one of you have a secret crush on John Mayer, regardless of his penile predilections?

Little32 02-16-2010 02:09 PM

I did try to throw myself at him once. Now I understand that he just wasn't having it.

So now you know that I don't care about Mayer and his comments. My initial post made one mention of Mayer in the opening paragraph whereas Dr. Britt's entire article was about Mayer and her analysis of specifically his comments. I spoke to a larger point that doesn't pertain to what idiots like Mayer have to say.

The more you know. *chaching*

Well thats news to me. You seem to enjoy bestowing your arrogant, high and mighty attitude on others. I wouldn't be asking anyway had you provided a link to these "studies" you speak so highly of. Unlike you, I don't feel the need to prove everyone else wrong.

Republicans judge you on the content of your character.

What happened to judging people on the content of their character?

Except that Mayer is the catalyst for this particular conversation/thread, whether you are responding to him or to someone's response to him. I would presume that you wouldn't have posted your initial response in the absence of the OP link to a HuffPost blog which is all about Mayer's comments.

Anyway, its semantics, and your response was very thoughtful.

I discuss these topics all of the time without Mayer. Dr. Britt devoted too much attention to Mayer himself and his comments.

I disagree.

ETA: All in all, it's not that serious and I was teasing with the "duhs." Usernames don't have to agree and each of our points still stand. :)

Am I the lone John Mayer fan here? :o

His comments definitely had me perplexed and a lil hurt even at first, especially as a fan of color AND I just saw him live like two days before the interview came out. But he does love to eat his foot on whole wheat with mustard and a pickle ON THE REGULAR  and as fan, I'm well aware of it. But it still sucks.

I have only been to his concerts for the music and thoroughly enjoyed each and everyone. Jessica Simpson even sat behind me at one of his shows, but the real treat was when Billy Joel showed up next to her!

In 2003 I watched this scrawny kid make a guitar talk at an outdoor festival and sing about some really intense emotions. It spoke to me.

I was never really a fan, and once he started talking, it was pretty much a given that I never would be. Do you think that you will still be a fan? Do you put these statements on par with the things that he has said in the past, or is there something different here?

I ain't mad at you, John Mayer

And another one... Same topic, different view.

She's worse than Dr. Britt.
