 I thought we were only getting 1-2 inches of snow. I was just told that we're getting 6-10..starting tomorrow into Wednesday..:(

Detroit is about to get hit tomorrow with a few inches. I seriously feel for those in DC and the affected areas. I remember a few snow storms we've had here but I don't remember anything that bad.

None of the local streets here have been plowed, although two nice gentlemen shoveled my walk & driveway. The car is almost completely iced over, so I'm not so sure I'll be able to get into it tomorrow! The National Guard has arrived in their humvees, and we're still under a state of emergency. I'm techno challenged, but will try to get some pictures up tomorrow - I'm looking for a yardstick for the drifts!

Our power went out just prior to the Super Bowl, and came on afterwards. I guess that's what happens if the Steelers aren't playing in it! ;)

Don't blame your team for missing the game!! LOL

We spent most of yesterday helping everyone dig out and then the roads are treacherous to the point where if you weren't driving a 4 wheel drive, you can hang it up...and worst the Metro isn't running above ground trains so even if I could have made it out I couldn't get to work....not that I'm comlaining...hehehe

And now they are saying we have more coming.

For once in a long long time we got a real winter.

We're expected to get up to another 6-8" tomorrow and Wednesday. On top of the 18-20" we already have. Believe it or not, my kids only had a two-hour school delay this morning!

Holy carp, another foot possible here in Philly Wednesday. I can't take much more of this!

Notice the second picture, where the road has been "well" plowed...

ETA: Its not really the amount of snow that's shocking (I'm from New York originally), but rather the region that got this amount of snow. Its debilitating because we don't have the infrastructure to deal with it.

Hate to break this to you, but I was watching the Weather Channel for Philly info since DS#1 goes to school there. If I heard them correctly, it sounds like you could get more than just another foot. I'm sorry.

yesterday i was able to clear half of my car off (see pic here). then realized that i still wouldn't be able to move it b/c there's snow piled in front of it. so... i quit.

Oy. Well, as long as I can get to the airport to fly to West Palm Beach on Friday, I suppose I'll survive until then.

I'm in Philly, too, and I don't know where we're going to put the new snow. My little street is already completely blocked at one end.

I walked up to the shopping mini-plaza because my car is trapped in my garage(the boro hasn't plowed our little hill/alley). I have frappacinos, pringles, oreos and beer. So I'm fine.

Hopefully you're not in Manayunk or Roxborough - those hills are the worst!

Now I'm in a tizzy that our (flat) roof is going to collapse and trying to figure out how one gets up to the roof of a three-story rowhouse to shovel without breaking one's neck (and wondering if just maybe one's landlord should be taking care of this, hmph).
