Sorry, but Giants Stadium which both teams play out of is in NJ. To my mind that makes then New Jersey Teams. Oh and the Statue of Liberty is in NJ as well. :P

I agree with you! Strangest set up ever. Then again, the Washington Redskins play in a stadium in Maryland.

That's different though as that is just a function of the tiny city of Washington not having room for a stadium.

Kinda the same as NYC. I guess they just didn't want it to go upstate NY.

They could have found room in one of the Boroughs if they wanted to. Or even right outside the city.

Yeah, I guess NJ is just cheaper.

Would make sense.

I'm originally from va, so I root for the redskins and a few college teams basically, alot of the surrounding states don't or didn't use to have pro teams like wv and the carolinas ( even though now they have the panthers ) but I know people still from md, va, nc, sc and wv who all root for the skins ! Go skins! : )

I'm from Florida but follow mostly Detroit teams owing to having lived there for 7 years. Exception is the Oakland Raiders for football (you may now commence Al Davis jokes, I've heard them all).

Slightly off-topic: Anyone else here live in one state, but follow teams in another?

I lived in So Cal for 11 years and my dad is still there (whom I visit often), so I grew up a Lakers fan.

I moved to Ohio and never caught on to the whole Cavs thing.

Other sidenote: co-sign on "bandwagon fans!" I've been a Lakers fan forever and I notice that every year we win a title, new fans pop up (that used to be Detroit, Boston, etc. fans).

It's no big deal though, we're like Visa- we're everywhere you want to be. lol.

no way. UK, UofL, and WKU fans are all used to winning collegiate programs. even Murray State and EKU are used to some measured success in the OVC.

anything less than perennial post-season berths in the NBA would seem like underachieving.

to me, anyway.

it was funny seeing that old Kentucky Colonels (ABA) jersey in the movie Semi-Pro, though.

I live in DC and went to high school and college in Ohio, but I grew up in Indiana and have always been a Colts/Pacers fan.

My husband is a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan, but has lived in Indiana is entire life. He went to the same grade school as Bob Griese (although about 20 years later), so even his teachers were Dolphins fans.
