The bump-it works pretty well actually. I've never tried it, but I know some girls that use them. You can tell it's a bump it though, cause the hair looks like it cannot move at all. Hence why Snookie's is definitely not a bump-it.

Yes and when you properly know how to back-comb, you don't need a $10 piece of plastic.

What did everyone think of last night's episode? I kinda like Snookie. She's actually my favorite. No matter who that guy hit, though, I wanted to reach through the TV and beat his ass. He then claimed he had just gotten punched in the face and that he's never seen her in his life. Dumbass.

I don't know, I know some girls who know how to do it nicely with or without the bumpit, but use the bumpit anyways so it stays in place better. Why not?

Just watched the episode. Loved the part when Vinny described the guys at the bar as "typical loser frat boys"

But, that dude was a douche lol

I thought the tri-state area was NY/NJ/CT, but I guess it all depends on perspective. I grew up in Fairfield county and we only got NY stations on TV.

I guess you learn something new every day!

No, you're correct. There are plenty of "tri-state areas" throughout the country, but if you're in New York you're referring to NY/NJ/CT.

Also regarding the "outlying boroughs:" New York City has five boroughs - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx. So saying anything is a "borough of Manhattan" is incorrect because Manhattan is itself a borough.

The people who told me Tri-State included PA were all from New Jersey and went to school in Philadelphia, New York City, or elsewhere, so this makes more sense to me as I was on the receiving end of their perspective. Also Connecticut doesn't touch New Jersey and my construct of Tri-States is all of them touching (example Idaho Oregon Washington; Montana Idaho Wyoming). Long Island is protecting Connecticut from New Jersey.

At least I knew the borough thing was all wrong

Ahh, gotcha. Your version of the tri-state area would make sense for people from South Jersey, were they have a lot of interaction with Philadelphia. Honestly the phrase is very relative, but in terms of the show they probably mean NY/NJ/CT.

If I'm teasing my hair to bump-it-size proportions, it's usually because I'm doing an updo and going somewhere.

You actually have to tease your hair a little bit in order to get it to stay in place; the reason I like the bump-it is because you don't have to tease it as much, thus doing less damage to your hair.

As someone who grew up in PA (Philly side), I consider the tri-state area to be PA/NJ/DE. Whenever you watched the local news, that would be the regions highlighted as well. But I agree, it is going to be relative to where you are located. :D

Teasing doesn't damage your hair as long as you are careful with it. If you rip a brush through it at the end of the night, yeah you'll break it. Best bet is to leave it till you wash it and if it's still knotted, a nice leave in conditioner will take care of it and you just have to comb slowly through. (I used to work in a hair salon and the girls poofed pretty much everyone's hair that they styled. You might have already known all this, but for those who don't. I've seen girls rip through their hair with a brush and it makes me cringe!) I tried using Bump Its and your hair really has to be the right texture. For fun they tried it at the salon on a girl. If your head isn't the right shape and your actual strands of hair are fine, it's not going to stay, or if it does it will eventually show through. I wish I had the right shaped head and thicker hair strands to pull it off. Artificial poofs (mine does it automatically) do not look great on me.

I had to share this with you all: http://www.hulu.com/watch/115772/the...sey-shore-cast

Don't watch this at work unless you want your co-workers looking at you weird for cracking up in your office.

lol @ "I don't know any wizards".

HOW can they not know "ol' blue eyes"??

Gusteau 12-19-2009 01:23 PM

Not knowing Old Blue Eyes is downright disgraceful - my grandmother would have hit me with her wooden spoon for not knowing that. And I would have gotten ten hits for not knowing the Pope!

PM_Mama00 12-19-2009 01:52 PM

Haha I was cracking up. Snookie is still my fave.

"LIONEL RICHIE!"

VandalSquirrel 12-21-2009 12:58 AM

Who takes their shoes off at the club and dances? SICK. That's like Britney Spears in a gas station bathroom.

Snooki should also invest in some spirit briefs if she's going to do back flips and handsprings in the club.
