I've been having this recurring nightmare where I'm surrounded by fiends, bumrushing my home trying to get to me, like in the movie Scarface. scares me shitless. any dream interpreters out there?

Thanks for not making me feel like a freak. I believe that the dreamer is the Producer and Director of his or her dreams, and that they are a way of getting through a situation. I didn't want to think that my dream was the answer to mine!

I had a lot of ice skating dreams before, but I think the Olympics are increasing them. And I'm sure the massive amounts of cold medicine aren't helping with how weird they are. :o

Well I feel like they can be meaningful in the sense that you miss your mom and want to be with her so badly, or they can be meaningful in the sense that it's time to let go.

To be honest, it could be your subconscious telling you to let her go because the only way to be with her (except in your heart) is to die. I don't know though. My mom dream was much more clear.

We were in church and singing a hymn, and she and I were holding hands, and I started crying. She told me not to cry anymore, that she was happy, then we went up to the altar for communion and there was a floral arrangement in her memory on it, and I turned around and she was gone.

I had a mom dream a few months after she passed away too. She was laying in a hospital bed and we were just talking. Nothing huge, nothing significant, just talking about life like we used to. Then, in my dream, I asked her "How are you doing this? You're dead." and then she wasn't there anymore. I was SO mad at myself when I woke up from that. I didn't want to stop talking to her yet.

My dream last night was bizarro. I took a 2-part cooking class, hooked up with a gay male friend, and cleaned slushy snow off my (red) (car in the rain, which was parked a block away from my (pink) house, in Chicago. The dream ended with me trying to dry off in the car while looking up things to do in Chicago because "it was the last day of my trip."

I've never taken a cooking class.
I'd never hook up with any of my gay friends, for obvious, practical reasons.
I don't own a car.
I don't live in a house.
I've only been to Chicago once and that was 5+ years ago.

I will say, my childhood home, my next door neighbor's house was pink and they owned a red car. I DID wake up to rain this AM. My night DID consist of cooking and talking to a gay male friend on the phone. The news report did forecast snow, but not enough for a winter advisory. My coworker is moving to Chicago for a new job in August - trying to remember if we talked about that yesterday?

Anyway, still bizzarro. But dreams are supposed to be the brain's way of sorting out the day's events and such.

I'm back to having the wedding dream again. Same guy. I can't even really remember it, I just woke up really happy. Yah, that's gone.

So I've dreamed that I cheated on the bf for the 4th time now. It's weird because I start talking to a guy (oh and by the way, all the guys I have "cheated" on him were friends from grade school who I haven't seen in ages!!) and I talk to him as if he's the guy I'm currently dating...then I realize that this guy I'm talking too ISN'T my boyfriend and then I start freaking out because I'm like OMG I cheated on him! It's weird.

I've had two dreams this week with John Cusack in them. Not bad. ;)

I had a Greek dream a few days ago! Ok, my sister is actually about to transfer to a 4-year university next year but she isn't Greek. So in my dream, I had a dream I was thinking about encouraging her to go through recruitment at her new school. Then I went, wait a sec, she's already an Alpha Phi! Lol! I told her and she laughed/thought I was crazy.

I had a dream that I had been at my new job for awhile and I saved enough money to move into my own place. It was so beautiful. :cool:
