Oh and BTW: WTF was his girlfriend wearing?

Not a bra, that's for sure.

I don't like Taylor Swift because I don't like the message in some of her songs. Okay well the one song I was forced to listen to about Romeo and Juliet, and I think there should be better messages than sneaking around with some dude and then marrying him, and the white dress comment. Why can't young women be successful and do something other than waiting for some dude their dad doesn't like to ask for their hand in marriage? We should be involved in the decision to get married and not wait for some dude and be a "princess" and Taylor Swift should also take a literature class because Shakespeare's play did NOT have a happy ending.

I also dislike Lady Gaga because some of her songs about losing her personal items because she can't control her liquor consumption, and she also needs to wear pants more often. Disco stick. srsly?

In other words, get off my lawn whipperschnappers!

This post made me so happy.

Kanye is a ridiculous douche.

Kanye did it because he knew everyone would be talking about it today. He didn't care about the ramifications for himself or how it would make Taylor feel. He just wanted the publicity. This is why he's a raging d-bag.

Do we expect anything better from someone who brought back venetian blind sunglasses? I can respect someone who has the Dwayne Wayne flip ups, but not sunglasses that mirror accessories on the A-Team van.

Hush your face, k_s, I'm not that old and even I remember Dwayne Wayne flip-ups.

Or as Whitley would say, "Duuuwaaaaynne."

That's a true story. He took "Geek Chic" to a new level. Especially "Professor" Dwayne Wayne.

There is no doubt that Haggard, Cash, Nelson, etc. were country in their own time, but that time has come and gone. Country music has evolved, obviously, and KC, Brad Paisley, and yes, Taylor Swift are examples of what country music is today.

Actually, they're examples of what Nashville country today is. That is, pop music.

Here's a whole list of country music today:
Old Crow Medicine Show, Cory Morrow, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers Band, Aaron Watson, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Jason Isbell, Drive By Truckers, Robert Earl Keen, Ryan Bingham, Sons of Bill, Adam Hood, The Bottle Rockets, Bleu Edmondson, etc etc.

There's ton of "real" country music out there. Where times have not changed so much and boy bands like Rascal Flatts aren't there.

I'm just waiting for one of these "born in 1990" folks to jump in talking about "Dwayne Wayne? Is that Lil Wayne's cousin??"

I'm not THAT old, but yea...A Different World is still a little aging...

No way! I still know the words to the theme song! "I know my parents love me...."

ETA: I didn't develop a crush on Professor Dwayne Wayne until well after the show had been canceled. Reruns on TBS and TNT during the summers were freaking awesome. It had to be late 90s by then.

The only reason I went to college was to throw my cap in the air and say "than where you come FROM!"

LOL - I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for the rest of the week.

This hijack is way better than talking about Kanye West.
