Congrats to the Gamma Thetas from a Gamma Mu!

Pledging legacies at the Florida schools is becoming more of a challenge because there are so many young women whose Moms were DG's and the strength of our chapters in this state means that lots of DG daughters (and their Moms!) want to be Delta Gammas as well.
Great job by the Florida Chapter.

I heard that they're not needing to COB, which would mean that they ended up snapping to quota in the end, I guess. I heard that quota was 46 +6 upperclassmen (52). The new member photo that I saw from their bid day had 48 girls in it.

On a completely separate note: It's so neat to hear about schools pledging 45-50% of the legacies rushing! :) Especially in areas with so many legacies going through recruitment!

I hate to stir the pot, but I'd just like to point out that FSU's quota was 57, while UGA's was only 46. Now who's got the bigger Greek Life system, crazy Kappa mom?

UNL -- I'm going with 33 new members, based on photos on their website. Obviously, any more official numbers will trump mine :)

mudeegee<3 09-07-2009 08:57 PM

well, I haven't seen any posts about the mu chapter, so I thought I'd brag a little. quota was 71 and our pledge class, including myself, totaled 72 ladies! so excited to be anchored for life at Mizzou :)
