Good luck foreverinpink! I am also moving in this week and rushing in the next couple weeks, so I know how you are feeling. :)

TarHeelHoney- Good luck to you when you rush! Okay, so I'm officially all moved in! (With the exception of a few little boxes, but I'll get to them soon enough ;)) My day was so crazy yesterday and I'm glad I'm done with it! My roommate is fantastic, she is the sweetest thing. I think we're going to be good friends! And, she's also rushing! I'm so excited. I've ran into a few other girls on my floor and they seem nice too. I'm now officially a college girl, I'm loving it! Thanks again for all your support, and I'll keep updating!:D

I'm pulling for football or gymnastics! Have fun!

Wow, what a day! So sorry for the delay, I’ve been so tired and busy with rush, classes and such. I’m going to post both rounds of open house right now, then house tours (which was this afternoon) tomorrow morning! (Wow, reading that over I just realized how much of a tongue twister that is, sorry!)
I was so excited/nervous for Open House! I couldn't wait for our first party!:) Soccer - I had a good time here, but not anything to write home about. I only talked to one active, which was a little disappointing. She was nice, but we never got past the awkward getting to know you questions. I would have liked to see more of these girls. Football - I had a very good time here! I was paired with an active that I had a lot in common with. We got to know each other so fast. I talked to another active that was okay, but I didn’t really click with. Overall, I really liked this house. Volleyball - I went in here having heard many stereotypes about the Volleyballs, but I tried to ignore them. The conversation was good here, but for some reason something felt off. I’m not sure what, but I just didn’t feel at home here. Hockey- I knew absolutely nothing about this sorority going in. I was paired with an active who was obviously very shy. She talked very quietly which made it very hard to have an easy conversation since the room was so loud. I would like to give the hockeys another chance though. Swimming- I was paired with an active who was supermodel gorgeous. She seemed really friendly, but we never really got past the getting to know you questions. There were a lot of awkward pauses. I was bumped to another active who was very outgoing and informative. But I wasn’t sure if she was someone I could call “sister”. I had mixed feelings when leaving. Golf – Here I talked to an active who surprisingly, was from my same hometown! She was very nice and we obviously had a lot to talk about. I think I connected more with her than anyone else during first rounds. I could totally picture myself here. When it came time to leave, the girl from my hometown waved to me from across the room. I left overjoyed!:D Tennis- My legacy chapter. I wanted to like them so badly. I ended up loving it. Conversation was so easy and I could easily picture myself there. My mom was happy to hear this when I called her. :D Basketball– Unfortunately, Basketball was a popular tent talk topic. I did my best to ignore it. I was paired with an active here who seemed nice at first. But once we got talking, she started bringing up the 3 B’s and some things that made me uncomfortable there. I wasn’t sure if I’d want to go back there again. Baseball - I had a very good time here! The conversation here was so easy and natural, I felt like I could fit in so well. Their sisterhood seemed to be one of the strongest as well; I could only hope to be a part of something that great! Gymnastics- This was the last house of the night, and I was really tired! Unfortunately, I thought that might have affected my chances here. The girls I talked to were all so sweet and genuine and I had an awesome time here, but for some reason I didn’t think I’d be asked back. For house tours, we could visit a maximum of 8 chapters. So we had to choose two to “drop”. Even though I had a good time at every chapter, I decided to “drop”: Basketball Volleyball Whew, I’m so tired! Sorry its such a short update. I will post house tours tomorrow morning I promise! Wish me luck for Video round tomorrow! |
