Epilogue
The “something in the window”, was a silver star. We had been given the stars at pref and then gave them back to the sister who escorted us. That sister in turn put the star in her window and made a wish. We were told “our only hope is that your wish is the same as ours”. Looking up and seeing that star in Marie’s window was the last little nudge I needed. My Rho Chis were both Falls, as was my RA. Careen and Beth and I ended up being a terrible threesome all through college and are still close friends today. We still laugh about recruitment and how we all had these opinions of each other. Tara was really happy for me. She understood the difficult decision I had made and she made sure to congratulate me on Bid Day. Marie became my Big Sister . Oh…and the groups? Summer = Phi Mu (in case you missed it) Spring = Alpha Omicron Pi Winter = Delta Delta Delta Fall = Chi Omega (therefore the creepy mascot…an Owl…they frighten me!) If you want confirmation on the school or if you want the name of the school, I'll be happy to tell you via PM. |

I'm glad to hear that your lovely friend, Tara, was an AOII! I hope we're no longer stuggling there as a chapter, but I think we all know how tough it can be for a chapter to be the new kid on the block. Loved your story!
